Here's an article a friend sent me in which she got off the internet.
And I agree, it's too damn bad the rest of the states don't pass a law making it illegal for illegals to hold a job, or for companies to hire them. Mexicans Returning To Mexico Causing Problems For Mexico The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from Sonora don't like it. Can you believe the nerve of these people? The state of Sonora is angry at Influx of Mexicans into Mexico . Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to Tucson to complain about Arizona 's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico . It seems that many Mexican illegals are now returning to their hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked off about it. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona 's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state. At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money. The law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss of, their business license. The Mexican legislators are angry because their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden on their state government. 'How can they pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep. Leticia Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales. 'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend or relative working in Arizona ,' she said, speaking only in Spanish. Mexico is not prepared for this, for the tremendous problems it will face as more and more Mexicans working in Arizona and sending money to their families return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs,' she said. 'We are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of Sonora and Arizona. Wrong! The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico, and its citizens and taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico's citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to stop parasitically feeding off of the United States and to start taking care of its/their own needs. Too bad all the US states don't pass a law just like it, since our own congress will not do anything! |

Damn good article Binky. I for one think illegal immigration is the number one problem facing the United States.
Both major party presidential candidates are pro-amnesty and have either been bought off or are out of touch with what's going on in America. A very serious situation for working Americans who must compete with this cheap labor especialy at a time when we are exporting jobs at an alarming rate, not to mention the extreme tax burden they have put on this nation. The DemoPublicans seem to be doing everything possible to destroy the American dream for it's citizens. People better start paying attention before it's to late. |

Well, Hog Trash, it's a sad day when we'll have to cast a vote for one of those two. Maybe they have been both bought off AND are out of touch with America. You and I have been around long enough to know that you can't take the words of politicians at face value because all of them have been liars at one time or another. They've chosen a career where lying and cheating prevail over all else. We have finally reached a point in our history where I find I'm at a cross road as to the consequences as to how I vote or if I choose not to instead. I don't want to vote for either of them. I don't feel they are worth the effort it takes for me to get to the voting booth. The inclination just isn't there this time. For the first time in my life, I am truly worried for our country. We are mired so deeply in the bog that our government has created, I don't know how in the world we are ever going to get out. And I lack faith that either of these men will be able to pull us out. Anyway, Hog Trash, I may just end up saying to hell with it and at the last minute, cast my vote for Steven Ball of the constitutional party. I like what I've read about him and I'm just sick and tired of the bought and paid for creeps they keep setting up for us to vote for. They back us into a corner where we just want to run to an alternative candidate. |

For those of you unfamiliar with San Diego proper, If we did this here the city would disappear. English is hardly spoken here anymore. GREAT story. |

Which in itself is sad. An English only law should be enforced. And CA is a state full of liberals with behaviors unbecoming to those of us that still believe in having some morals. It's a state where "anything goes" and you can thank Hollywood for that. It's progressively gotten worse over the last 50 years. |

What is sad about it is you start to feel like it must be everywhere. I just spent two weeks in Keller Tx. and only saw two hispanics speaking spanish at the carwash. Made me feel better. |

Well, I'm in northern Michigan and I haven't seen that as yet. However, there are more and more minorities moving into the area. I have met several and have not had any problems with any of them. From what I've seen, here in Michigan, the majority of the mexicans speak English. Which is as it should be, since this IS an English speaking country. However, I would imagine any illegals hiding here don't. And it's a shame how the powers that be are trying to steal Engish from us and sooner or later, this is going to be a Spanish speaking country. I'm toying with the idea of learning to speak it, even tho' I think it's a pain in the butt to learn and speak since they use too many words or say something backwards to get to the same meaning we do in English. Goofy, for sure! |

Being in manufacturing I have been around hispanic people since the 70s. I have no issue with them coming learning language and working here. Now Los Angeles is 53% spanish speaking and the state is 47%. These new immigrants are not assimilating. They are changing the culture here and are not subject to laws like Americans. There is a culture of fear and anger brewing here. Some schools are totally hispanic here, I am not kidding. Illegals bring their kids across the border everyday to go to school. 32 emergency rooms have closed in southern California because illegals use them for primary care as they are uninsured. I hope I am not becoming a bigot, but there is no difference between city heights downtown and ensenada mexico. |

I don't believe you are guilty of bigotry. Latino's, especialy Mexicans are my favorite foreigners. They are friendly, family oriented and the hardest working people I know and it is nearly impossible for them to support their families on Mexican wages. Their politicians are even more corrupt than our own and have raped their nation. They have come here in such high numbers and over such a short period of time that assimilation has not been necessary. With them they bring their voting habits which CAUSED the reason they have to leave their own country. Without realizing it they are destroying the reason they came here and in doing so are destroying a way of life for those of us who are already here. The wealthy elite are globalists and need no borders or country to depend on. Open borders and cheap labor means more profit which translates into wealth and power so open borders and amnesty is their goal. The rest of us can ether work for Mexican Wages or starve, it means nothing to them. The bottom line is all that matters. |
