Giuliani picks up backing of a Bush in Florida

Wednesday, Mitt Romney added Congressman Connie Mack to his stable of support in Florida.

Today, Republican rival Rudy Giuliani came back with a Bush -- Jeb Bush Jr., to be precise.

Bush, the youngest son of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and President Bush's nephew, will be chairman of Florida Young Professionals for Rudy and will focus on recruiting professionals to the campaign and on grassroots efforts in South Florida.

"As someone who grew up around politics and candidates, I know that Rudy has the leadership qualities and unmatched experience to be the next president of the United States. I'm honored to join his campaign and look forward to working with the many young professionals throughout Florida supporting the mayor," Bush said in a statement provided by the Giuliani campaign.

The former New York mayor is counting on Florida as a key part of his nomination strategy. Republicans there moved up their primary to Jan. 29, so that it occupies a key perch in between the early contests in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina and the quasi-national primary on Feb. 5, when about 20 states are scheduled to vote.

Giuliani did 'what' behind a bush in Florida?

did someone besides the NSA get photos for once?

I've seen him in drag, but this sounds juicier by far.

It's kind of sad really, Jeb's not that bad for a Bush. He's a total policy wonk and was probably the son that was actually preened to run for President before Rove picked Jr. He would have been a marginally better Republican president.

Bush Jr can't endorse anybody, he's poison.

Jeb is a Florida gangster.

He cooked the 2000 voter rolls.

He might be tied up in the hit on Ray Lemme, FDOT auditor, who was ready to expose money laundering using toll booth cash receipts.

there is a 170 million dollar a year Florida 'offshore' gambing cruises that go completely untaxed & unregulated. Which Abramoff bought into with phony assets & then the guy he bought Sun cruises from got a mafia style hit on him. Big Republican contributions came from that. And Abramoff has a completely anonymous co-investor, who remains nameless to this day. Hard to collect income taxes where there is no name or social security number, eh?

Florida is just sick, crooked. And Jeb is at the very center of it.

Neil was that other Bush brother that did all those crooked Savings & Loan scams back in the 90's that caused financial wreckage & scandal. ala Silverado.

They've been preening to become President since PNAC was formed in the 1990s. No President can take over the USA democracy in 8 years. It takes longer.

These people tried when Nixon was in office and failed. They've been testing the waters with Dubya and the help of Rupert Murdoch. They've already put a lot of things in place.

In 2012 or 2016 they will run Jeb. They've already moved the Florida primary. They've already created a disaster of an economy and will blame the next President for the pain involved with fixing it.

A little economic pain. A failed war in Iraq. A couple of well placed terrorist attacks or scares and people will gladly give up everything in 2012 or 2016.

"Heil Jeb" or die. Simple as that.

All Gulie need do now is pick up Larry Craig's endorsement. There'll be nothing left of him but bubbles on the surface of the water..

It seems crazy that any Repub runner would align himself with that cursed name. Maybe it's a convoluted plan by Rove to get Romney the Repub nomination?

don't forget, 24% of people are still approving Bush's job,

despite the fact that he wasn't even elected for a second term.

One can't underestimate some people's commitment to blindness.
