Boy, are you wrong when I transferred as a student at Southern Illinois University, I was writing letters to President Ronald Reagan encouraging his conservative politicy.

The change to becoming a Democrat began with a question I missed in Broadcast Station Management class. I remember, it like it was yesterday. I was the only Junior who got the answer wrong. I am still ashamed of my answer, but I will share the question with you.

"You are the Station Manager of an independent television station, and you have the last word. The station's largest advertiser was out drunk driving and kills an 8 year old girl. Your News Director has film of the event taken by a by-stander. The evidence is conclusive your advertiser is guilty. How do you instruct your News Director to handle the story?"

My failure to answer that question correctly, led me to a good deal of painful sole searching. Even my parents hammered me. I concluded that people were more important than money, and became a Democrat. This is why I have no tolerance for the greedy as they blindly chase money.

Now I might be mistaken but isn't the point of being a conservative republician as you put it to make sure that you have the oppurtuinity to help yourself?
