Was just getting ready to post this.

Yep, the GOP wanted to push the timetable for a decision up for nothing more than political grandstanding, and now the announcement is going to come early. May as well get it out of the way prior to SOU.

As usual with DC politics, though, No really doesn't mean No.
TransCanada is still going to be allowed to continue work, and allowed to propose a alternate route through Nebraska.

So the permit is going to be rejected, yet they can still continue to work??

Yep, and now with the Straight of Hormuz under threat, Oil prices should rise like predicted and as planned.

I am hearing that they have a surplus of Oil, and are losing money, so the plan as I understand is to scare the market with these fabricated Oil shortages to raise the price of Oil.

    What say you Hugaman.?

An alternate route that avoids the aquifers was proposed over a month ago.

It's the Al Gorians who don't want the pipeline.

I know a couple of alternate route's were talked about, including avoiding the State altogether, but I am not certain if an alternate route was officially proposed.

At any rate, they are going to be allowed to continue work on an alternate route.

As for those that don't want it, yes, I don't want tar like sludge spilling into our water and potentially our landscape.

What a suprise, Obama yet again proves he does not care about jobs and the middle class.

TransCanada will still be allowed to continue to work on an alternate route, so the premise is rejected. It was, of course, ridiculous to start with.

No. Best interest of the United States of America. He did not allow the Republicans to bully him into accepting something without adequate study. Well done Mr. President.
