Obama Buying Votes by Reducing Cuts to Medicare
Anyone can see this as he once again does what is politically expedient for the next election.
Medicare Advantage is an insurance program for those that buy into it. Why is the government subsidizing an insurance program? Why are they dipping into the Medicare Fund to pay for it? An insurance company is supposed to make their own money.
More exemptions...imagine that. Anybody left out there really think this guy is a leader...REALLY?
More below:The health care law itself tried to soften the impact of Medicare Advantage cuts by providing quality bonuses for highly-rated plans that received four or five stars in a government grading system.
Then, in a policy shift quietly completed this month, HHS decided to grade on the curve. Average-quality plans garnering just three or three-and-a-half stars would also get bonuses, although at a lower percentage than top-tier plans.
The HHS decision means four out of five Medicare Advantage enrollees are in plans now eligible for a bonus. Under the tougher approach Congress took in the health care law, only one in four would have been in plans getting the extra payments.
HHS' nearly $7-billion bonus program is temporary. In 2015, the cuts called for in the health care law will kick in again

Socialists cry "Power to the people", and raise their clenched fists as they say it.
We all know what they really mean -- power over people, power to the State.
Bill of Rights: Not Negotiable
By 2015 they'll have had 4 years to figure out a better method of doing this, or they may have gained additional funds from reducing waste.
Point is, supporting Medicare is not "buying votes."
