I'm sure everyone's heard of Edwards and his 2 $400 haircuts and the $400 he spent on make-up. So as a candidate does it make you want to vote for him when he's spending that kind of money on keeping himself looking pretty?

If that's the type of candidate the Democrats are putting up I have no doubt the Republicans will win in '08. I know you're probably saying Hillary with her on again off again southern drawl might stand a better chance...but every Republican would love to see her win the candidacy.

Republicans have a candidate that can win, Rudy Giuliani, but the Republican party since it became the party of Christ, won't give him the nod because of his stance on abortion. So, most likely you'll put up someone like Romney or some other flake and lose the election because of it.

I think he has a better chance to win the primary than winning the national election. No way will he win the national without the Religious Right, he could take the primary without it.

You Repugs have got your priorities all screwed up.
Why don't you worry less about Edwards' haircut
and spend more time apologizing for the bungled
mess your butt-boy Georgie has made of Iraq.

If you were a real Christian, an honest Christian,
not just a fake Christian, that's what you'd be
doing: apologizing for Bush's mass murder of
innocent women and children in Iraq.

But you're just a right-wing Christian fascist.
You LIKE what Bush has done.

Dear Betty

it is not us who have our heads screwed up. How can we trust a man like Edwards to cut taxes and hold down the deficit when he wastes 400 dollars of his own campaign money on a haircut. If he wastes his own money can you trust him not to waste your money

President Bush has cut the deficit in half despite fighting 2 wars, 9/11 and Katrina and Wilma. Throughout history the national debt has always gone up during a time of war

Actually - the Rep's have their own pretty boy now - http://www.prospect.org/csnc/blogs/tapped_archive?month=05&year=2007&base_name=post_3688#016553
Seems Mitt Romney is the hot Rep pick for women

AJ - you still spewing that nonsense about the deficit? He didnt cut it in half - he made it a deficit from a surplus when he took office - by 800 billion dollars - and the latest economic reports say that tax cuts had nothing to do with lowering his deficit he has caused - it was a general response to lower interest rates by the Fed ( that he has nothing to do with)

And yes the national debt has gone up while fighting the war - by 12 times as much as it went up in Vietnam, WW II and Korea put together - so dont say throughout history - cause it just aint so

As far as haircuts costing 400 - you might want to check to see what it costs for Bush's haircuts - and for that barber to stay on call - or what the other candidates are paying - you will find that they all do the same thing but Im sure the media will keep playing that story for all its worth - since both dems and republicans have to have something silly to talk about while they ignore the real problems in this country

It's just a little bit of amusement. If you want to do a debate on where people stand on the issues, where candidates stand on the issues, I'd be happy to do so.

However, the democratic platform keeps switching depending on poll numbers so it's hard to pin down what they actually support and what they actually are against. Take the war in Iraq, they vote for it, they are against it, they win an election in 06 saying they'll do something about it, and now they've done nothing.

If you can lock down what the democrats stand for and guarantee they'll stand for that same topic if the poll numbers shift, I'll be more than happy to debate you on the issues.

You do like your cartoons.

I am a real christian and follow the doctrine that sometimes you have to confront evil. Saddam Hussein wasn't an alter boy (you can do your joke now that if he was a priest would have taken care of him)...the crimes he committed are still under reported, you have to dig through countless news sources to find any information on the atrocities he committed. Sometimes you have to be willing to act against evil like that.

Christianity has always had military orders, the Knights Templar, for example...where good Christians protect their faith and confront evil. I suppose you'd like Christians to standby and let Extremist Muslims wage a jihad against all western culture. However, that's not going to happen...sorry.
