Since Sarkozy won in France, does it mean that liberalism in France has proven to be unsuccessful?

Sarkozy ran on with these as his issues, "slashing unemployment, cutting taxes, keeping trains running during strikes, making people work harder and longer, shrinking the government bureaucracy, reforming pension rules and making it easier to create new businesses."

Sounds like a good Republican to me and he's Pro-American.

So what has liberalism brought to France? High Unemployment, low growth, and social program that's destroying the country. Nice work French Liberals

Doesn't sound like a Republican to me at all. Republicans run on big government now.

Sarkozy won in France because the US neocon machine was in place in the secret agencies in France - Royal didnt have a chance against that although she certainly tried with help from her insiders in the DGSE. Of course over the next few weeks you will hear of the agents in DGSE and DST being removed for their "socialist" views and being too pro-Arab as well as Im hearing one is already being charged with the secrets act this week due to giving up info on Sarkozy and his dealings with Bush and the CIA

True Republicans want small government and you'll see our party returning to those principles.

Any links where I can read up on it? As I'd enjoy reading how the Neocons owned France. I might use it as a bedtime story to my kids.

Once upon a time some brave neocons decided to swing Frances political machine to our way of thinking. They needed our assistance as the French Liberals were burying the country with its lazy work ethic and social programs....

That would make a good bedtime story...so if you can supply links to any reliable source I'd be more than happy to read it to my kids.
