While some evangelical Christians are defending the presidential candidacy of Mormon Mitt Romney from an attack by Al Sharpton, another prominent pastor is going further in his condemnation – saying a vote for the former Massachusetts governor is a vote for Satan.

That's the word from Bill Keller, host of the Florida-based Live Prayer TV program as well as LivePrayer.com.

"If you vote for Mitt Romney, you are voting for Satan!" he writes in his daily devotional to be sent out to 2.4 million e-mail subscribers tomorrow.

Sharpton, the Democratic Party activist and former presidential candidate, has been widely condemned for singling out Romney's faith as an issue in the campaign.

"As for the one Mormon running for office, those who really believe in God will defeat him anyways, so don't worry about that; that's a temporary situation," he said.

There's so many ways to go with this post because it has a lot of things I want to comment on...however, I'll limit it to a personal story.

One time I was forced to talk with a Mormon for three hours, the circumstances was work related and it couldn't be avoided. The first hour was actually rather pleasant, we talked about religion for awhile, and the Mormon was impressed with my knowledge of the bible (what? Just because I don't believe doesn't mean I'm not well versed in it).

The second hour he started to discuss the benefits of Mormonism. Surprisingly that wasn't that bad either...it was pretty interesting how they take care of their own.

By the third hour he was discussing in detail some of the, umm, errr, umm, odder points of Mormonism. At this point I wanted to escape the room in any way possible...so much so that I just kindly bid him good day and left.

A week passes and I get a phone call from the Mormon. He was thinking that...oh I don't know...I might want to join. I was polite, said no, but thanks for the offer.

A bible came a week later.

A visit came a week after that (the business partner I worked with decided to give him my address).

Let's just say I still get the occasional letter from him trying to recruit me because they're so damn close to a cult it isn't funny. So I'm pulling an Alec Baldwin on this one (no I'm not going to call Romney A rude little piggy)...however, I might consider moving out of the U.S. if he wins and unlike Baldwin...I won't fake it.
