yes, because we all know that there is no such thing as spell check and as well, we all know that when you resort to criticising spelling you've got nothing left in actual bank of knowledge in that head of yours to offer to the conversation. Nice try though.

honestly, I dont' really read your posts that much either. You rant quite a bit. I usually only read the editorials you post, or the intial post you make. In fact that's usually the case with everyone, unless someone is directing something at me. Or I feel the need to comment on the initial post. Simply because lately, everything just devolves into partisan attacks.

"to even think" is a split infinitive

never insert any word between "to" and any verb

to run, to jump, to reveal one's extreme immaturity---infinitive form of verb, don't split it

Professor, please don't be so insensative.

First of all the court wanted with all their might to convict him in that case and they couldn't. I am inclined to beleive that the incidents didn't happen at all. If something like that happened to you, wouldn't you remember it? The witnesses, all of them, kept changing their stories over and over again. If something is true, your story stays the same. He was not a little kid.

As far as the freewaysclosing, that was for the publics safety.

During the trial, people would drive like crazy people around the SUV he was in just to catch a glimpse of him. What do you think would have happened with the hearse on the freeway. Somebody could have gotten hurt. It was a judgement call and nobody got hurt or arrested.

Everything worked out OK.

I recall @ the time I thought he did it.......... It was of course circumstantial. I did not follow his trial or any of them like this (OJ, SPecter etc) but I/we were exposed to it non-stop so there was almost no avoiding it...

Eventhough I thought he did it I was troubled by the charter/lack their of these ppl accusing him. They reeked of rip-offs & gold miners...

The stories changed as you pointed out........ Also if I recall some of them stated they were suspecious or concerned for their kids.. Yet they didn't do a damn thing....

If any parent suspects their kid is getting molested or exploited they are not gonna allow them to go back there.....
What troubled me most was the cameras in the house & all that>>> pretty creepy...........

It is my opinion that if a parent thinks their kid is being molested, they will ask the kid.

He was not a 6 year old and if it was happening he would have told his Mom. Besides there were always more than 1 kid there at a time. Do you know how hard it is to keep even a couple of kids quite about anything? It would have been impossible to keep that secret for kids of 10 or 12 years old if it was happening.

I know that is an assumption, but we were all kids at one time and if something happened to you, by anybody, that you thought was wrong, you would have told your parents. Why hide something like that.

I can't be sure what actually happened but to call him a pedophile, which means abusing children, because kids were sleeping in his bed is not right. That is the worst thing you could call a person besides a drug dealer (child killer).

Bill Cosby
07-08-2009, 08:08 PM
But you can see how ppl could come to this conclusion........ kids were sleeping in his bed

As a parent I can assure you I would not allow my kids to sleep in some mans/any mans bed...... PERIOD!!!!

See he was immature & had issues but I am not sure if that helps or hurts his case here.........

The impression is horrible........... He as an adult should not be having sleepovers w/ kids........... IF for no other reason than appearances........ Especially after he was accused the first time.......

I agree kids would not keep "secrets", @ least not very well......

& from what I can recall the onus/initiative seemed to be from the parents not the kids.........

Anyway the man is gone..........

I have said my peace & he now has his...........

cheffy
07-08-2009, 08:24 PM
He had his day in court. He was found "not guilty" of all charges. I am from Santa Barbara, and little as I cared about the trial, I do know the DA, Tom Sneddon, seemed a little too eager to get a conviction. That's my personal opinion, though.

Either way, the man has put more of a mark on this world, then any of us could ever hope to. I do have to thank him for putting the money into the Santa Barbara Hospital for the Michael Jackson Burn Unit. After he caught fire for the Pepsi commercial, he donated a buttload of money (in 1984 or '85, before he had massive debt) to the hospital for the new wing to be built.
