Well so much for all the "experience in foreign relations" this gas-bag bragged about during the election.
Joe Biden Encourages More Terrorist Attacks In Iraq (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/07/joe-biden-encourages-more-terrorist.html)
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_L6pDyjqqsvY/SlDApHW2wqI/AAAAAAAAcoE/dTkB8Zw2Dnw/s200/biden (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_L6pDyjqqsvY/SlDApHW2wqI/AAAAAAAAcoE/dTkB8Zw2Dnw/s1600-h/biden)
The man is dangerous...
Obama Administration foreign policy guru and chief idiot Joe Biden just gave the terrorists in Iraq the glimmer of hope they so desperately needed.
Prairie Pundit (http://prairiepundit.blogspot.com/2009/07/biden-encourages-enemy-attacks-in-iraq.html) reported on this from The Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/03/AR2009070302217.html):
Vice President Biden warned Iraqi officials Friday that the American commitment to Iraq could end if the country again descended into ethnic and sectarian violence.
Biden delivered the warning during a three-day visit to Iraq that began Thursday, just a few days after the United States formally withdrew most combat troops from Iraqi cities under a security agreement reached last year.
It was the vice president's first visit since President Obama asked him to take the lead on Iraq policy.
Biden who pushed a disastrous plan (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/10/finally-iraqi-politicians-find-reason.html) to partition Iraq was tapped by Obama this past week to be the White House point of contact (http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2009/07/figures-obama-gives-bumbling-joe-biden.html) on Iraq.

One would have to be a complete brain dead horse's ass to conclude from that article that Joe Biden encourages more terrorist attacks in Iraq.

Biden doesn't say he's encouraging more terrorist attacks, but his words accomplish this. He sent a message to terrorists in Iraq that if they raise hell, we will pack up and go rather than fight them.

No. He was telling the Iraqi government to take some responsibility. He wasn't sending messages to terrorists. Come on rg, your more intelligent than that.

That's true, but what do you suppose those words say to the terrorists in Iraq?
Whether you are willing to admit it or not, what Biden said encourages terrorists to continue their fight. That's why he should have never said what he did publicly.

You meant insurgents didn't you? How long do you want to babysit this country? Biden's words do not encourage terrorists, insurgents or whatever. His words were to the Iraqi government, shape up or we are going to ship out and they should have been said publicly.

It doesn't matter what anyone says at this point. Al Qaeda has major influence in Iraq and they will do everything they can to take over the country after we leave. Just think about that for a minute:
Al Qaeda was not in Iraq during the invasion, and they are now and will be there with much influence after we leave. Good job on Bush for opening up that door and laying down the red carpet for Al Qaeda to march right in.

Yep................. Good point!!!!!
I recall an interview w/ an editor from Al Jazeera.......... He was an X BBC man now in Qutar I believe...........
Anyway he knew his shit from the Muslim brotherhood founding fathers to Sadat to the "good holy warriors" fighting bad Russians to alquida...
He stated emphatically "the plan was always to bring the cowboy here". ! so it would be easier to attack him & 2 because he would help rid the area of their enemies.... SUch as sadaam......... Like the Iranians... Like the other bathaaist in Syria.......... Etc...
Well after a whole month of planning the invasion (gawds plan) nothing was gonna stop the cowboy....... Even the knowledge that this is exactly what they wanted...........
American tax payer money needs to start being about the American taxpayer...... Let these folks work out their problems.......... They were doing fine before we got there..............
I would think most if not all of them will say the usa has already helped to much...........

Your thread title is a FRAUD.
No where in your quotes is he 'encouraging' violence.
The American right wing are such NAKED LIARS.
Zebulon, do you think the often arbitrary & fracturous Iraqis are just going to roll over for Al Qaeda?
The ONLY reason many of them distastefully allied with these hated foreigners, was to get us, the invading foreigners out of their nation.
The minute we are gone from the equation is the day most Iraqis will be slitting the throats of foreign Al Qaeda elements.
Sadly too many Iraqis will be doing so to other factions of Iraqis as well.

That's how I took it. Reminds me of a little boy whose babysitter said, "I'm leaving if you don't start behaving yourself." Well, duh. Now that kid is going to act up just to get rid of his babysitter. Hmmm.........yeah, makes sense to me. Threaten him with the freedom to do what he wants with no one to stop him.....yep, sounds logical to me. :(

Zebulon, do you think the often arbitrary & fracturous Iraqis are just going to roll over for Al Qaeda?
The ONLY reason many of them distastefully allied with these hated foreigners, was to get us, the invading foreigners out of their nation.
When we invaded in 2003, we were welcomed with open arms by the Iraqi people. For the first year almost our enemy was pretty much defined as Baath Party loyalists. But things didn't stay so peach for long, between the wrecked infrastructure of Iraq with many people losing their jobs it was a matter of time that the civilian population took arms against allied forces. But they weren't taking up arms because they wanted us out, they needed a way to support their families.
Think about it for a second: We invaded Iraq and told every Baath Party employee (doctors, policemen, government officials, even military) that they no longer had a job. So now, all of a sudden you have a shit load of people who weren't very happy with Saddam Hussein in the first place without a job. Many of these people with weapons training and knowledge on how to make things go boom.
In a time where we could have hired them on to fight with us, we fired them. With these people still needing a way to support their family, they were hired on by AQ operatives to do their dirty work. Another one of Bush's grave mistakes from the very start.
With the sudden increase of ambushes and roadside bombs, the rules of engagement changed drastically which gave some units almost zero restrictions in engagements. A necessary evil, but this led to many civilian deaths. This, on top of the atrocities in Abu Ghraib, led to major unrest throughout the Anbar Province.
So what did Dubya decide to do? He did exactly what he should have done in the first place: He hired insurgents to fight with us. After this transition, violence fell drastically, since the very people who were fighting against us were now on our side.
It's all about money over there. But now as we prepare to pull out, these same people are again going to be left without a job and without allied forces to assist them.
Al Qaeda is a very patient organization and will sit and wait for the perfect opportunity to strike. My concern is without the financial and military support from the US military, AQ will wipe the floor with anyone who worked for us.
And since Dubya didn't see it necessary to go after the country that he knew for a fact had a nuclear program... Iran... AQ is going to have almost unlimited resources to bulldoze through Iraq.
I hope you are right man, but the cards are not stacked in Iraq's favor.

But what is the alternative? Continue to sacrifice American lives to a cause that will never remedy itself? Stability in Iraq is impossible. If we pull out now, or if we pull out 20 year from now, nothing will stop Iraq from collapsing on itself.

Yep bush allowing/telling all those baathist & military ppl to go to hell was one of the dumbest moves this country could have done, short of that decision to invade a country that just happened to not have played a part in 911 & was a sworn enemy of alquida wackO groups.........

What can we say to the non believers who put American lives over all others unless of course its the Americans who are traking others. Then they call the war unjust and brutal and unwinnable. Even when we have come so far.
We meet deadlines and still they will not give credit where it is due. A few bombs shouldn't destroy their newly founded democracy and this is the price we pay for creating humane societies.
I know cosby and zeb only wish that hondours would have let their freedom slip into dictatorship but the free world appaluds their great bravery when surrounded by dicatorships and threats of destruction.

We were never as initially popularly regarded as the Whitehouse wished invading Iraq.
There was no major mass of Iraqis, with the possible exception of Kurds who actually wanted us to invade.
AND the Whitehouse EXPECTED to be leaving in a VERY short period of time.
As soon as these absolute non-geniuses [idiots] of the Whitehouse figured out this was a longer duration 'project' they should have done everything possible to pump up the economy & society.
They did exactly the opposite.
They exclusively used foreign 'contractors' to do any public works. And made NO attempt to hire & engage Iraqis in that economic opportunity.
The Pentagon INTENTIONALLY threw nearly 9 billion in cash away to corrupt contractors & corrupt Iraqis. It was an effort DESIGNED to loot this cash. [see Billions over Baghdad, Vanity Fair]
I remember instances of military officers actually connecting & working with local Iraqis, but their jerk overseers yanked them away from that.
The corrupt whitehouse used Blackwater & other outrageously expensive mercenaries instead of manning up & telling the American people that we had to enlist for their out of control 'project',
instead they just jacked up the Federal Credit Card & passed an enormous IOU to America's grandchildren & unborn babies.
And these same reckless & completely, explicitly unaccountable expensive, hired mercenaries killed civilians with wanton abandon & disrespect.
Completely undermining any hope of working with & for the Iraqi peoples.
The whitehouse misjudged Iraq from the beginning. They fumbled screwed up & did the diametric opposite of anything productive as this slow trainwreck unfolded.
Excuse me, but making troops 'feel' happy about an unworkable & phony project is not a 'validation' of it.
You give troops a real, a sound, a sensible & reasonably probable project,
and when they do that necessarily difficult work you praise their honorable efforts.
You don't praise people using 'drop weapons' to cover up mistakes as well as war crimes.
The atrocity of Abu Ghraib is Rumsfeld's doing. He & everyone else who conspired in the product of his mental disease needs to be held accountable as war criminals.
Iraq makes me so angry.
My god, people are dismissing at least a Trillion dollars worth of long term costs, killing hundreds of thousands, including US troops as trivial.
America still has not recognized what a fiasco & atrocity Iraq is.
Please don't tell me how good you 'feel' about Iraq,
because it exists in complete ignorance of all the facts.
I will not indulge people's feelings when they are a complete mismatch with reality & the facts.
