I have been saying for years that religion has been in a downward trend
and this sort of proves it
I am sure you all seen the news articles about the debate
I found it very interesting that ONLY 3 of the 10 republicans raised their hands during the question of evolution
I was expecting 8 hands to go up
and if you think about it probably some of those 3 only raised their hand caused they knew the religious right was watching and they desperately need the votes

Tommy, I think you might be too suspicious of how far repugs will prostitute themselves pandering for votes.
If you look at the situation from thier point of view..a process which I recommend in the spirit of engendering a greater sense of fair play and understanding, I would submit that from a repug's point of view, with their head's so far up their own ass, that the light of reason doesn't shine there, and they aren't aware of anything older than 7,000 years of recorded history, and everything proported to be older...like dinosaurs...all came about in a flash.
Tommy, it mostly unwise to leap to the conclusion that anyone might be corrupt just because their lips are moving, they've been caught red-handed on numerous occaisions, and they are on their way to jail...we must first listen patiently to their reasons why it is clinton and his lipsticked fly who is the reall guilty person and not them at all...then, a reasonable person can rightfully damn them all to hell where theycame from.

Very timely post. I'm hoping all the presidential candidates will be asked about their view of evolution vs intelligent ( or how I like to call it, unintelligent ) design. In the backwards state I reside in, they're holding debates among the cadidates for governor ( primary ) & in the GOP debate recently they were asked this & the current occupant, an M D nonetheless, endorsed intelligent design. Obviously in this state, which is near the bottom educationally. intelligent design is a big seller, but this question is a must for the presidential candidates.
