Former DNC Chair Terry McCauliffe was ROUTED, 50 to 26, in Tuesday's 3-way Blue Primary VA by state senator Creigh Deeds, a conservative Democrat from VA's Cumberland region in the far Western tip.

Creigh (pronounced "Cree") Deeds is a farmer with a mule named, Harry S Truman.

Which is about all The typically more updated and prepared Prof knows about Mr Deeds.

Virginia was the single most bellwether state in the union in November, 2008, election day for Barak Obama.

Florida in 2000. Ohio in 2004.

VA in 08.

VA has always been a very key state electorally. It is a place where superstar Governors morph into superstar Senators in just about the same year as some superstar Senator becomes the superstar Gov.

And one's a Red while the other's a Blue.

Nationally, until 08, it always went Red. In-state, it's more like 50-50.

What changed in 08 was the effect of the SUBURBS of DC growing in NORTHERN VA.

An increase in a professional, white collar, Beltway-connected voter block.

VA is a state that also almost every time in offyear elections votes for Blue Gov's when there's a NEW red in the White House, and vice versa.

What's weirdest about smiley McCauliffe's loss is its SCOPE. I mean, he just got TROUNCED.

Actually, his getting beat in the first place is rather ODD.

So very hi profile.

So associated with the past.

So devotedly Clintonista, #1.

So DNC, #2, fund raising pro vet.

Read the TEA leaves, folks.

Pissed off at the POLITICAL CLASS, they say, is the Tobacco State.

Exactly like CA.

The White House, which was BILLED LARGE to all of us as representative of things new and fresh and CHANGE all could believe in, in contrast, has acted completely as if Nancy Pelosi herself were PULLING the strings.

As pork barrelly, earmarky, business-as-usually partisanly as could be conceived.

From the "stimulus" to the bailouts to the omnibus to the TARP's to the auto-takeovers to the AIG bonuses to the Fannie and Fred to the EXTENDED use of subprime to the $1.8T of DEFICIT in the 2010 budget alone...

FED UP with the RULING ELITE.

No CONFIDENCE in that class of THINKING as having any HOPE of succeeding.

Taking the country back.

Creigh Deeds!

VA, Nov, 2009, Gov race---it's gonna be close.

And very, very revealing.

No one showed up to vote and those who did kicked that Commie McCauliff out on his Liberal ass.

The dope, Tim Kaine - he'll be voted out as well.

I think he's slightly dumber than Biden.

yes, another extremely low voter turnout

VA said almost exactly what CA said on may 19 when my state voted down five sacto and union back props by average, 34 to 66

and only 23% turned out

VA and CA said essentially the same thing

1. we are pissed at the entire political class, in sacto, richmond and beyond

2. we have had it with bailouts and bonuses and subprime and ballooney accounting, etc

3. we have NO confidence in the ruling elite to solve THEIR OWN problems, let alone ours, they can all go to hell, when it comes to POLITICAL SOLUTIONS we pretty much have GIVEN UP, that is, we're all just gonna STAY HOME

this sapping of spirit, end of enthusiasm, wearing out of will, all BODES very poorly for a candidate who once depended entirely on hope and excitement in believable change

obama is already DEAD politically

the bigeared doof is even starting to hear a little of it himself

as demonstrated by his absurd PAYGO declaration, his hurrying up of the "stimulus..."

LOL!
