How much longer do you think Murdoch will keep putting up with Shepard Smith. He mocks Glenn Beck, throws the f-bomb out there when some guy says that it's not torture and now this. Please don't tell me I'm beginning to gain some respect for someone over at Faux News.

Sounds tame compared to the level of hate spewed by the left when Bush was in office. Hell, this was nothing more than an email from some nut, while the hate spewed by the left was from very prominent people.

But lets not talk about that... Right bairdi?

Oh, so this is standard broadcast content at Fox? Got it! Hey, I'm looking at a used car today. The salesman says it's a great price and it's only been driven by a little old lady once a week on her way to church and back.

Is Obama a car salesman on the side? I am not surprised:lmao2:

The guy talking about blogs is dead on right. The internet has facilitated the micro-niche of radical thoughts. I've posted this prior and I'm not doing the full rant, but 10 to 20 years from now you'll see so many different groups that are just batshit crazy and over nothing.

It's right, it's left, it's any group that congregates and think somehow the government sucks, that they've been wronged, or some flavor of that.

As for Shepard Smith, I think anyone with even a small slice of sanity can see the writing on the wall. Splinter hate groups are going to be the new wave of the future.

Here's one example where the bloggers at the Puffing Post lamenting that terrorists did not succeed in killing Dick Cheney - the Vice President of the United States.

For example?

9/11 conspiracy theorists. Bush will never give up power theorists. This forum's longest thread belongs to 9/11 theorists. Now we're getting the Obama is hitler group, Obama is seizing the reigns of power and will never give it up.

Now, you'll comeback and say that was just an internet phenomena, but the internet is becoming mainstream. People want to just count traditional media outlets in a discussion like this, but they shouldn't. A blog like Huffington has an Alexa Rating of 460...it's pulling a serious viewership and that's just 1 blog.

People are starting to live online. They shop online, they gather, they get their news from online sources over traditional outlets like tv, newspapers, etc. So, there's a large viewership of content that doesn't have any mechanism of review and it should not be dismissed just because of its "non-traditional" standing.

It's like not counting the books Amazon sells or the music ITunes pushes just because it's online instead of a brick and mortar type thing.

Can you find any maintstream sources...or only independent bloggers? That don't represent any national news sources that most of america watches...yeah didn't think so. I can show lots of moainstream new sources on the right that throw hate on a daily basis...

I work for two sites that pull in a combine 3 million daily viewer and my own site which does around 125k. So taking a guess at the daily number of a site like Huffington that would be in the 2.5 million per day. I'm not saying Huffington is a hate merchant, but using them as an example. Online sources, independent bloggers, etc, are starting to pull as much traffic as mainstream sources.

You can't limit hate to mainstream sources because it denies this fundamental change in how people get their information. Newspapers are dying for a reason. The #1 rated tv show at the moment couldn't even rank in the top 10 compared to shows in the 1970's. The reason being people are spreading themselves out for the information they get.

How many times have we seen Republicans posting how Fox News is kicking the crap out of other networks? Well, in TV viewership, and radio listeners, sure they are, but on the internet they're failing big time. I'm just taking a guess that it's because more Democrats are tech savvy, younger, etc, and choose to use the net as opposed to mainstream sources.

The internet is shaping elections. The internet is shaping fundraising. In the last two elections the internet played a vital role.

With all that said, people can't dismiss internet hate, whether it's right or left, or some other group, as the internet is a far more dangerous venue in many ways because of the following...1. It answers to no one 2. It encourages participation, not just watching news, but actively commenting on it. 3. Like minds congregate, they don't listen to the other side, and they fan the insanity.

Internet hate, internet groups, etc, is the new KKK, Neo-nazi, Black Panthers, Earth Liberation Front, Animal Liberation Front, lol, name your kink and you can find a hate group. Chat with other members. Make friends. Make plans to blow shit up. This is our future...scary.

More liberal hate speech.

2004 wasn't even a week old when two videos explicitly comparing George W. Bush to Adolf Hitler appeared on the website of the liberal group MoveOn. They were entries in a contest soliciting "really creative ads" that would help voters "understand the truth about George Bush."

So began another year in which liberals engaged in, and mostly got away with, grotesque slanders and slurs about conservatives -- the kind of poisonous rhetoric that should be beyond the pale in a decent society. Once again, too many on the left -- not crackpots from the fringe, but mainstream players and pundits -- chose to demonize conservatives as monsters rather than debate their ideas on the merits.

As in years past, Republicans were almost routinely associated with Nazi Germany. Former Vice President Al Gore referred to GOP activists as "brown shirts." Newsday columnist Hugh Pearson likened the Republican National Convention to the "Nazi rallies held in Germany during the reign of Adolf Hitler." Linda Ronstadt said that the Republican victory on Election Day meant "we've got a new bunch of Hitlers." Chuck Turner, a Boston city councilor, smeared National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice as "a tool of white leaders," like "a Jewish person working for Hitler."

Such Nazi labeling is no less disgusting when it comes from Republicans, of course. According to Bob Woodward, Secretary of State Colin Powell described Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith as running a separate government out of his "Gestapo office." Commentator Ralph Peters, writing in the New York Post, accused Democrat Howard Dean of using the tactics of Hitler and Goebbels to silence his competitors. Too many conservatives and libertarians refer to antismoking extremists as "tobacco Nazis," or to the humorless critics of fast food as "food Nazis." Whether it comes from the right or the left, language like that is vile.

Overwhelmingly, though, political hate speech today comes from the left. It has increasingly become a habit of leftist argumentation to simply dismiss conservative ideas as evil or noxious rather than rebut them with facts and evidence.

That is why there was no uproar when Cameron Diaz declared that rape might be legalized if women didn't turn out to vote for John Kerry. Or when Walter Cronkite told Larry King that the videotape of Osama bin Laden that surfaced just before the election was "probably set up" by Karl Rove. Or when Alfred A. Knopf published Nicholson Baker's "Checkpoint," a novel in which two Bush-haters talk about assassinating the president. "I'm going to kill that bastard," one character rages.

Bill Moyers warned a television audience on Election Day that if Kerry won narrowly, "I think there'd be an effort to mount a coup, quite frankly. . . . The right wing is not going to accept it." Chevy Chase, hosting a People for the American Way awards ceremony at the Kennedy Center in Washington, slammed Bush as "an uneducated, real, lying schmuck." A cartoon by the widely syndicated Ted Rall described Pat Tillman, who gave up his NFL career to enlist in the Army and was then killed in Afghanistan, as a "sap" and an "idiot."

So many examples, so little space. A political flier in Tennessee, depicting Bush as a mentally disabled sprinter, bore the message: "Voting for Bush is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded."

The St. Petersburg, Fla., Democratic Club took out an ad calling for the death of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. "Then there's Rumsfeld who said of Iraq, `We have our good days and our bad days,' " the ad read. "We should put this S.O.B. up against a wall and say, `This is one of our bad days,' and pull the trigger." Fantasies of murder likewise animated British pundit Charlie Brooker, who ended his Oct. 24 column in the Guardian with a plea for Bush's death: "John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr. -- where are you now that we need you?" Brooker later assured readers that he "deplores violence of any kind" and had meant his call for an assassin only as "an ironic joke."

But the "joke" of left-wing hate speech stopped being funny a long time ago. There is room in the marketplace of ideas for passionate, even angry, rhetoric, but there are also lines that, as a matter of decency and civic hygiene, should not be crossed. The violent invective so often hurled at conservatives pollutes the democratic stream from which all of us drink. Democrats no less than Republicans should want to shut those polluters down.

I'll be damned if I haven't seen tons of ads comparing Obama to Mao... hate speech? Nah.It would take eight years of 24/7 hate to even come close to the moonbat unadulterated, disgraceful hatred displayed during Bush's tenure.

That said, Hitler is more apt in describing O'Bammy than Mao. He is taking a fascist approach by taking over the banking and auto industries, now wanting to dictate pay in the private sector.

Just three more years and I hope he and his family experience at least 1/10 same sorrow and dismay that Laura Bush and her daughters endured for eight long years. I won't feel an ounce of pity for them. Just desserts...

I'll be the first to admit that I'm a fan of Barack Obama. I'll also be the first to admit that there's this unusual cult-like worship of Obama on the fringes of the left.

But seriously, wishing he gets criticized? Hell, there's an easy solution to that: criticize the man. But beware: mindless, baseless, unsubstantiated criticism of Obama puts you in the same exact spot as the Bush-bashers.

But seriously, wishing he gets criticized?I can't stand your TOTUS. I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the election and the things he has done since are nightmarish and has proven to have the intelligence of an earthworm. I cannot stand that chicken-necked looking, lying teleprompter POS. He lied right into the TV screen today about healthcare. Thank God the AMA opposes his shithole plan.

Hell, there's an easy solution to that: criticize the man. But beware: mindless, baseless, unsubstantiated criticism of Obama puts you in the same exact spot as the Bush-bashers.You betcha. After eight years of the disgraceful garbage dished out to Bush, I sincerely hope the Obama family has the honor of the same "warm and fuzzy" experiences the left bestowed upon Bush, Laura, Barbara and Jenna.

Revenge is best served cold and in this case it is well deserved and long overdue.

"Slick Willy" and jokes about blow jobs pale in comparison to the hate speech that has been used against Bush. If you can find Clinton being portrayed as Hitler or death wishes toward him, then I will stand corrected.

Hitler, Stalin ... and Clinton?
Newspaper poll ranks president second among most evil

A New York Post survey of readers sampling nearly 20,000 people ranks Bill Clinton second to Adolf Hitler as the most evil person of the millennium.

Hitler received 8.67 percent, or 1,664 votes, and Clinton received 8.47 percent, or 1,625, placing him well above mass-murdering Soviet leader Josef Stalin, who got 6.69 percent, or 1,284 votes.

What makes the president's appearance on the survey more astonishing is respondents had to write his name in, while Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Dr. Josef Mengele and others were listed on the survey. First lady Hillary Clinton came in sixth on the survey, with 3.99 percent and 765 votes -- all write-ins.

Others on the list included Saddam Hussein, Charles Manson, Idi Amin, Genghis Khan, Jeffrey Dahmer, Benito Mussolini, Ayatollah Khomeini, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, Ivan the Terrible, Fidel Castro, Vlad the Impaler, Timothy McVeigh and Marquis de Sade.

Insider Report: Clinton Admired Hitler Too

Special from NewsMax's Most Informed Sources
Saturday Oct. 4, 2003

1. Bill Clinton Admired Hitler Too

We are not sure Arnold Schwarzenegger admired Adolph Hitler. If he did, he would share something with Bill Clinton.

The Clintons' anti-Semitism is now well known.

Details of it first emerged from retired Arkansas state trooper Larry Patterson who told NewsMax the inside details of the Clintons' dislike of various groups.

During the six years Patterson guarded the Clintons, he said their deep-seated anti-Semitism became apparent in slurs they hurled at each other. Bill Clinton also frequently told Jewish jokes.

Patterson made the revelations in a two-hour audiotape "More than Sex: The Secrets of Bill and Hillary Clinton Revealed" published by NewsMax.com several years ago.

Patterson said that during the Clintons' many verbal brawls "it was quite common" for both Bill and Hillary to refer to each other as "a Jew motherf----r" or a "Jew Bastard."

So far, Arnold has not been accused of such comments.

Patterson does reveal that Bill Clinton had a deep fascination for Adolf Hitler and his book "Mein Kampf" though.

Clinton's interest in Hitler was not based on the fascist leader's anti-Semitism, but the great leadership skills of Hitler, according to Patterson.

Clinton, Patterson remembered, was intrigued that Hitler "had so much power over these people and that it had just been a short period of time since World War I where they'd been defeated, and this man had come forward and had rallied the German people."

The BDS left always wins when it comes to hate/assassination speech against Presidents. No one on the left has ANY room to talk about ANYthing regarding "hate". They wrote the book on it........

Zeb, I think you have to read the context of the thread as to why she posted that, as it was more or less asked for to show mainstream liberal hate. She did her homework and proved the point.

The bigger point is though, that most people on this forum put the blinders on about their party and only see bad in what the other guy is doing. Well, Democrats and Republicans have both followed a similar path and it makes me wonder why people of both parties hate each other so much when they're more or less following the same type of people.

Look at the last week...both parties trying to make the holocaust museum shooter belong to the other party. Are you fucking kidding me? The guy was a nut, I wouldn't even try to attach him to the human race, let alone a political party, but people are so invested in making the other side look bad that they can't let it go.

This forum is becoming a small microcosm experiment of the net on the whole. Become entrenched in your ideology, follow like minds, and dare I say hate the other side.
