It's all about oil...that's why Obama is not leaving Iraq. I said it before the election that we'd have people in Iraq for the foreseeable future...no campaign promise was going to change that.

Instead of looking at it as a reduction of the price of gasoline...look at it more as securing an important long term asset.

Because the economic sanctions were strangling the Iraqi economy
during the 90's, Saddam Hussein was desperate to sell Iraqi oil at
rock bottom prices.

We could have bought all the oil we wanted for a fraction of the cost
of using the US military to seize the Iraqi oil fields.

It's almost always better (and cheaper) to use economic means
rather than military means to accomplish goals. The military should
only be used as a last resort when all other methods have failed.

Oil manipulation for summer vacation dollars and liberals still asleep at the wheel. Liberals let gas prices double after 2004 even though many called for regulation and the repeal of the Enron Loophole....liberals did nothing but let the country fall into debt just to fill the gas tank.
