The debt will be paid off, once the economy starts growing again and we fix the medical system. We will be able to work our way back to no deficit spending like we had under Clinton.

Again the economy was left in a mess and now its getting cleaned up. Unfortunately the only way to fix it was to spend.

Yeah, ten years ago the CBO projected a $3.2 trillion to $4.2 trillion surplus for 2009. It took a conservative just a couple of years to blow that projection out of the water and that was with creative manipulation of the debt figure. To say that Obama will get this economy back on track and will get the deficit down is not unreasonable.
