I know I'm new here, but the bickering is getting really annoying... I've really enjoyed my time here so far, but all the he-said, she-said stuff and finger pointing from BOTH SIDES is a big turn off for a site that is really cool otherwise...

So with that being said, could this be a new leaf for everyone and we all just put down our torches and pitchforks, shake hands and communicate like the civilized Americans that we were raised to be?

Private Charity barely touches the problems they fight against. It is only as a nation that many of the problems that create and maintain the down trodden can be fixed but you refuse to accept that kind of responsibility.

At the risk of derailing this thread, I have to say that my biggest pet peeve is we have all these celebrities, such as Bono, Mia Farrow and Oprah touting things about the poor people in other countries like Africa. Oprah went so far as to build a school for girls in one of the African countries. Now, I ask, what the hell is wrong with helping the poor in America? And there are plenty of dirt poor families living right here in this country. Why doesn't any of these individuals speak about this here and help our own? Grrr! It burns my butt. You don't hear much on the news or on the tube about our poor. The government doesn't want to admit we have extremely poor people living right here under its nose, so to speak. These people try to bolster up their images as do gooders when they tout those from other countries. What the hell is the matter with our own poor? Do they have the plague or something? It's about time these loud mouth individuals start helping our own. If they have the means to do it for those in other countries, then they have the means to do it here. They are only trying to make themselves feel like heros and boosting their egos even higher. They are blowhards and it's disgusting and phony.

Yep, that's the way I feel. I go to bed at night not worrying whether or not some buttwad happens to hate what I've posted. Ya can't let that shit bother ya, for sure. The world is full of hate. Those that spew it are hate, hate, hatersons.

It's easy to get caught up in all that hate. It thrives more than a child in a third world country does. You can't take all the junk seriously and let it get to you.

Before I started entering chat rooms and political sites, I never gave much thought to the hate in the world. After reading it everywhere, I'm finding, that as a species, we're rapidly becoming a walking disaster. It's harder to fnd a happy medium anymore, because the hate has stretched to the four corners of the planet. The means to grab for it all and sell our souls for whatever it is we happened to want, has hardened our hearts and cheapened us. Very sad indeed.
