Holy cow.

This is good news for everyone. It almost reached 500 today, for a total gain + 497.

I'm guessing the Street took a good look at the Geithner plan unveiled today and liked what they saw.

Politically speaking, Obama should have a hell of a week and win the news cycle.

In a federal office overlooking Washington D.C., Geithner is probably smiling today.

I guess not having to see geithner helped.
Transparency without cameras

If it can soar 500 points it can tank 500 points. Binge/Purge.

We've seen this type of thing off and on. It doesn't mean all that much unless you own the stocks that rose today. Remember what I've been saying about down the road - when all this fiat money has to be pulled out of circulation. If they don't nail the timing down, months before a true recovery becomes obvious, we'll be seeing $10 a loaf bread and $30 a gallon gas - just because the dollar won't be worth anything tangible - with no bottom.

I smell Soros, anticipating a windfall somewhere in this.

And don't forget, even the plan mentioned today is dependent on finding private corporations willing to partner on buying over $2 Trillion dollars worth of toxic assets, whose true value is unknown - and they can't even find 17 individuals who want to work under Geithner. And these corporations have to trust Washington not to change the rules after they've bought in ...... remembering how D.C. did a 180 on the AIG bonuses.

No but it does make Senior's constant announcements about the stock market look kind of silly. Or should I say even sillier.

Holy Cow! from a fucking Socialist Canuck.

Shall I show you the balance of my 401K on Jan. 1 vs. today??

This "immaculate conception" you're creaming your pants over probably has added $39 to my portfolio.

Fucking idiot.

Not really, because it does affect people's 401ks and other retirement investments ............ although it does them no good if they can't somehow cash in on it before the bottom drops out.

It all depends on if you're betting on Biden's "30%" chance of succes with the Obama administrations judgement.

In other words, things may work out. But as more and more money gets printed, it's becoming a greater long-shot at true success. It's a question of how long Obama can keep up the illusion, if it does reach some level of believable sustainability, before the 2012 election .............. IMO.

That $39 might buy you a pack of cigarettes by early 2013, or as soon as 2011 - it's hard to say from this far out.

500 points is worth $39 to your portfolio? Let's see....the dow on Jan.1 was 9034 and today it's 7757 or a difference of 1259. Divide that by 500 and we get 2.5..... times $39.....so you lost $97.50 since the beginning of the year? Consider yourself lucky chief. I've lost over 55% of my 401k since October 2007 when the fucking moron was in charge and he tanked the economy.

#1 - I have NEVER messaged you, pervert. So, ditch that fantasy right now.

Secondly, if you're not interested in responding, then don't! Furthermore, as long as you can see my brilliant and thought provoking posts and I can see your idiotic Socialist braindead "French" Canadian irrelevant rantings, you're fair game on a "message board."

If you don't like that arrangement - put me on ignore.

Got it Junior?

Who?

Bush who? The guy who is "retired?" That guy?

Getting rid of the most incompetent man to hold the office of president in my lifetime is a start. Having the American people overwhelming reject the absurd policy of Reagan trickle down economics is also a positive step in the right direction. Thinking this problem can be solved by anyone in a couple of months just because some crazy old homophobic ex swabby reprobate thinks it should be is absurdity.

No one said it could be fixed in 2 months. We just don't think throwing money at every welfare programs along with almost 9000 earmarks is wisely addressing the situation at hand. Reagans economics bailed us out of the Carter years that destroyed my family's way of life and now we Carter's twin for President that will put more families under with his economy experiments.
