On the anniversary of the "liberation" 4 yrs ago - today the Iraqis burned US flags and called for the removal of the occupiers - and some estimates put the crowd closer to over a million

In a related story - one of the men that swung the sledgehammers to knock down that statue 4 years ago wishes he hadnt -

"We got rid of a tyrant and tyranny. But we were surprised that after one thief had left, another 40 replaced him. Now, we regret that Saddam Hussein is gone, no matter how much we hated him"

we have given them the gift of Democracy and freed their people from a ruthless dictator and this is how they show their appreciation. I see them as little children who haven't a clue in regard to what is good for them

We also took away their democracy 30 years ago and gave them Saddam - so I guess they have a right to be pissed - I know I would be - so many people forget how Iraq came to be beneath Saddam when for decades they were a flourishing democracy - just read up on what Cheney did back when he was in power back then
