Wouldn't be ironic if both SM, Bill and the "webmaster" have taken a week's vacation.

Then we'd probably see an entirely new board by the time they fix things. Possibly just wiping everything and having to start from scratch.

My conspiritorial half worries this is SM's way of discouraging people with conservative views from posting here anymore, because of so much anti-obama info posting having accelerated over the past couple months.

But that's just my "dark half" thinking that way.

Probably not. This seems to be a free speech board and everyone seems to be given a lot of latitude. I like that about it. It's just the weekend and they're probably busy doing other stuff. If they didn't want conservative views they would simply ban us.

That's why I like this board too.

But I fear SM may have had an overflow recently of conservative views that make him look too overy-biased. And conservatives have been banned before - sometimes on flimsy issues. And the balance of liberals to conservatives has tipped recently. I wouldn't dismiss any possibility at this point.

Isn't somebody supposed to be monitoring this board though, between the TWO? I've posted on the weekend before and they're usually here. And apparently the webmaster (don't know if there's a third person involved) doesn't check his email, between last night and this morning.

I think he's accomplishing what he's set out to do, so far. If he can just keep his loyal people happy with Jay Leno type publicity, he'll manage to get a lot of "control" passed through the back door. Every new piece of legislation, for every new crisis, gives him another opportunity to get hidden language passed into law. Using scapegoats to take the rap every time.

He's in the cat-bird seat. He's the most powerful man in the world and no one can touch him for at least 4 years. By then all the pieces will be in place.
