Since April 28 has been set as the date for nationwide impeachment protests (http://www.a28.org), it seems a good time to ask: should George Bush and Dick Cheney be impeached? Why or why not?

Impeach first...then try them for crimes against humanity...then for treason, then for lying to congress, then for fraud, murder, piracy, pedastry, then crimes against jesus, then jaywalking, then shoot the fuckers.
Or if you think that program is too rash, you can begin with hanging them right off.

I'll give you two words which will prevent the impeachment of G.W. Bush:

Dick Cheney.

Of course, if either Bush or Cheney had an ounce of decency and even a modicum of political sense, they'd both resign for the good of the nation and dump this whole mess right into Nancy Pelosi's lap.

Not only would it make them both look like great men, it would virtually guarantee a Republican return to power in 08.

I wonder why Karly Rove hasn't thought of this angle yet?

The Dems will have congress for 10 years or so until everyone forgets how bad the republicans were, then the cycle will start a new. For now the Republicans fucked up too badly to get power back in Congress any time soon. The Presidency is always a wild card though, although if the Dems get a decent candidate (Obama) who isn't a doofus (Kerry, Gore) they should easily win. Not to mention the Republican party has already alienated their limited government base, and is now alienating their religious right base as well. It will be tough for them to get votes. Look for the zealots to start their own party in 2012 if not 08. The Libertarian party could also gain some solid ground if they could ever market themselves decently.

The way it's playing out, there are enough repugs up for re-election to begin listening to their constituents...this is obviously pissing off butch and cheney.

Do you have a notion what would happen if (perish the thought Kres), if a gas bomb were to simultaneously kill off both the entire house and senate?

I will tell you if you can't encompas such an event: Cheney's hand picked shadow government would step into the breech and rule....with an iron fist that would give hitler a woody.

Nonsense...? All of it is in place...locked and loaded just waiting for the trigger pull.

Kres....you ought to kiss your god's ass that we have repugs and dems filling in for government before butch feels too threatened and pulls the plug on them.

Damn those boxknifing terrorists...time to change governments...Not to worry though cheney is on the case...got a redimade gov. in the wings...talk about homeland security...those boys think of everything.

This terrorist attack will be worth another explaination from Popular Mechanics...I can't wait to get my copy.

Your crazy unfounded conspiracy theories do little to add to the conversation.

Do you realize how much time & energy it would take to impeach Bush? One of the biggest complaints coming from the GOP camp during Clinton's impeachment was that it was taking time away from GOP issues. There are some who say Clinton encouraged impeachment for that very reason. Bush is a walking talking billboard for why a Dem should be elected in '08. Why let Bush off the hook with impeachment. He'd like nothing more than to get the hell out of D C. I'd rather make Bush endure every second of his reamining time in office.

Kres...stop with the attitudes and disprove that cheney has a shadow gov.

I'll give you a hint on fact finding...you ever hear of google....well punch in "shadow government" and read what it says.

As far as conspiracies go...who promoted that sadam was involved in the demolition of 9/11?
Who was it that talked about the iminant mushroom clouds on main street USA?
Who conspired to out an undercover cia agent and her network (who was involved in tracking and interruption of the underground trafficing of weapons grade uranium).

So stop slinging around that dead cat (conspiracy)...it no longer bounces.

Don't put words in my mouth Kres...I made a specific claim...to which you responded that this doesn't need my conspiracy shit...ANSWER THAT QUESTION INSTEAD OF DRAGGING UP ONE OF YOUR DEAD HORSE ARGUMENTS.
