This guy is so convincing that he should be working in Hollywood, not that I beleive he is innocent. His con game is well prepared and well spoken, a virtuoso thugonaire marxist. :D
I wonder if they offered him a Pay for Play to step aside and let the Senate appoint Obama's replacement?? With all the crooked thugs in IL I wouldn't put it past them to offer this fool a way out quietly. :banghead:
Tricky Dick accounting is the bedrock priciple of government. How hard would it be to shift funds to pay Blago secretly?
The ghost payroller talk is near the end of the conversation with Meridith Viera.

A spokesman for Gov. Pat Quinn flatly denied that Blagojevich was ever offered a deal to serve out his term, with full pay, as a lame duck governor despite claiming otherwise in a "Today" show interview Tuesday.
Quinn spokesman Bob Reed said neither Quinn nor anyone on his behalf approached the governor following his arrest. "No deal was offered," Reed said. "Nothing."
A spokesman for House Speaker Michael Madigan also denied any deal offer:
"This is a very troubled person," Steve Brown said of the former governor. "He has no connection to reality and hasn't for years."
Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich said Tuesday morning that he rejected a deal with senators to keep his job as governor if he agreed not to fill the Senate seat being vacated by President Barack Obama.
"I rejected an offer by leading senators to keep my job for two years and essentially be a ghost payroller governor," Blagojevich said in an interview with Meredith Viera on NBC's "Today" show.
He said that he was offered the chance in December to "stay on as an incapacitated governor, keep my pay for two years, keep my security detail for two years" in exchange for not appointing Obama's replacement.
