Job ad: Wanted, a smart, friendly bullshit-talking double standard tax cheat for the role of HHS!! Must be a former lobbiest (don't worry we never honor our words because symbolism is what Obama says it is till he changes his mind.)
Other qualifications, a keen desire to loot the economy in favor of gladhanding the rich and making the rich even $$richer$$ Must look honest while talking, must gaffe constantly but you can't exceed the Veeps gaffes ( because we've already filled the role of horse's ass). :talktothehand:
Also, you must be prepared to take all blame for mistakes because Obama didn't do nothing wrong the last 12 years of his life except for everything the media uncovered, its all true but Obama prefers to say I didn't do it to pad his ego).:lmao2:

Former Senate majority leader Tom Daschle, who is President Obama's nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department, "recently filed amended tax returns to report $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest, according to a Senate document obtained by The Associated Press."
ABC News' Political Punch blog reports that much of the problem "deals with a car and driver lent to Daschle by a wealthy Democratic friend -- a chauffeur service the former senator used for years without declaring it on his taxes."
Politico writes that "Daschle used the Cadillac and driver around Washington while working as a consultant to a New York City private equity firm, InterMedia Advisors. He used the limo 80% for personal use –- resulting in unreported income of more than $255,000 for the three years, Senate Finance Committee documents show."
White House spokesman Bill Burton told Politico that "the president has confidence that Senator Daschle is the right person to lead the fight for health care reform."
According to The Washington Post, "a spokeswoman for Daschle confirmed last night that he recently paid back taxes in excess of $100,000. She said that Daschle, a former Senate majority leader, and his accountant discovered the error regarding the luxury car service and reported it to the committee after his vetting was completed." It adds that the Senate Finance Committee, which is considering Daschle's nomination, will be meeting with him behind closed doors on Monday.
Daschle is the second Obama nominee who failed to pay some taxes. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner did not pay Social Security and Medicare taxes on some of his income for several years. He paid about $42,000 in back taxes, apologized for what he said were mistakes, and survived to be confirmed -- but by a 60-34 Senate vote that was well below the affirmations usually given to Cabinet nominees.
