Mass hysteria is gripping the human race, because of this one man.

15 years ago my stepson said he wished he was black because of Michael Jordan. 25 years ago my friend's son wished he was black because of Michael Jackson. 40 years ago while traveling through Arizona I first heard Wolfman Jack broadcasting from LA and he was selling t-shirts that said "Black is Beautiful" and "I wish I were black." You could get them in small, medium, large or extra large. I fail to see what the big deal is with Larry King's kid and what this has to do with white people not being allowed jobs in the US soon.

When I was growing up I wanted to be Mississippi John Hurt, but not because he was black, because I was addicted to his blues. Same goes for Howlin' Wolf and for the same reason.

The only possible problem I can see is extending the issue beyond what one kid says and address the problem of white males and how they're the only group at the moment that everyone can freely put down without fear of ramifications.

A few years back there was an Art Exhibit in NYC that I went to...one of the featured statues was a white man with a bunch of derogatory terms written on him, like rapist, racist, murder, etc, etc, etc. Walking by the statue I thought to myself, if it were any other group, black, minority, or woman, there would be protests around the block.

Nothing wrong with being a white male, despite people wanting to judge you by some ludicrous notion that all white guys are a certain stereotype or by trying to infuse this white guilt factor, and while I don't get overly offended by it, I do shake my head at the hypocrisy of it all.
