The drug in question is dichloroacetate (DCA), which University of Alberta researcher Evangelos Michelakis recently proved reduces the size of cancer tumours in rats by up to 75% with little or no side-effect.
Michelakis's research has garnered international attention, but big drug companies have thus far failed to fund human clinical trials because DCA cannot be patented. :disbelief:
