While this is over my head, it is obvious that the rockets that Hamas lobs
into Israel are mentioned almost as after thoughts and given little attention.
Guess those rockets manage to miss all the civilians while Israel creates

They need to learn a lesson from Abbas on the West Bank. Once they stop shooting rockets and agree to deal, there will no longer be this problem.

The whole issue revolves around sacrificing their own people in a propaganda war, because they refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist after half a century.

Abbas is making real progress and Hamas couldn't deal with it.

As I recall, during and before biblical times, Israel was the homeland of the Jews.....Am I mistaken?

The Egyptians, Persians and Romans invaded, enslaved and displaced the Jews, but does this somehow change the facts?

Were they given this land or were they aloud to return and reclaim their ancesters homeland?

Did the Palestinians have more right to Israel than the children of the original Jewish inhabitants or were Palestinians just squatters?

Hamas are an Iranian puppet government who came to power using wads of money given to them to buy votes and who's sole purpose is to destroy Iran's enemies.

We have one of our own in Georgia. We sent them into Ossetia to ruffle the feathers of the Russians and we got their gooses cooked.

So, are you willing to give up your house because we treated the American Indian so unfairly? Are you willing to pay your fair share to help make reparations for slavery?

I don't think any American is serious about reparations, just like any other nation that subjugated the weaker for their own gain, and guess what, that's just the way the cookie crumbles. So, I think this type of argument is just a little weak.

I personally think we should have just cut off a piece of Germany for the Israeli state, but hey, live and learn. Also the history of Israel isn't exactly as cut and dry as it sounds and the British holds the lions share of blame for that.

Now, arguments that I do agree with is this: America's involvement in the region as a whole. Should we just blindly support Israel? Should we give an independent state foreign aide like we do with Israel? Personally, I think the less America meddles in the Middle East the better. I'd rather we spend our time getting so energy independent that we can thumb our nose at the region and not care at all.

I don't want to see Americans in the Middle East. I don't want to see our troops dying over sand and oil. I mean look at what the gripe is over? Is it really about land? Israel is a spec on the map, surrounded by Muslim nations all around. This is about religious hatred, maybe on both sides, but again, does America really want to be involved in a religious war? I know I don't because there's a no win aspect to the problem.

What's the solution? For now America has to continue to be involved in the region, hopefully while we get off M.E. Oil, build our own energy independence, and then once we can cut off the region, we do exactly that.

Just think, would middle east countries really be able to afford religious wars if their only real commodity, oil, was no longer the be all and end all to human existence? Right now they have the money to support these actions through America's insatiable need for oil. It's really hard to wage war with no money.
