After Obama Win, Black Muslim Teen Beaten With Bat on Staten Island

17-year-old Ali Kamara, a black Muslim, was walking home on Staten Island Tuesday night

after it was announced that Barack Obama was elected president when he was

brutally assaulted by four white men.

Kamara tells the Daily News: "I see the car coming. They looked at me and said, 'Obama!' They were not happy. They had hoodies on. They started

hitting me with bats

and my body started vibrating." Luckily, Kamara was able to break away and hide until the thugs left; his mother, who moved with Ali to Staten Island from Liberia in 2000, showed the News a bloody towel she used to staunch his wounds. An NYPD spokesman says the department's Hate Crime Task Force is investigating the incident as a bias crime. And Kamara says

he heard his assailants scream the word "Obama!"

but not any other racial or religious slurs, so it could be the bullies just mistook Kamara for the new President-Elect.http://gothamist.com/2008/11/06/after_obama_win_black_muslim_teache.php

The GOP is the party of terrorists.

Terrorists who hate America's democratic election system.

Who hate the will of the American people.

They are evil & should be skinned alive for the evil they spew & violence the inflict without reason or logic.
A bunch of thugs who are an insult to all of humanity.

How do you know they were GOP? Couldnt they be white democrats that just happen to be racist? Maybe they were independents that are racist? Also this is an alleged attack, perhaps waiting for more information is necessary?

Finally, you generalize and spew hate of your own, you're no better than what you claim to hate.

Well, Frank, I hope you make your mother proud of you with all the pent up hate you seem to have. Are you happier once you've spewed that garbage all over the place? Or do you still feel empty inside? Might not be a bad idea to seek out some help and talk out your hatefulness. Gotta be a reason for it.

It wasn't necessarily about race,
they were yelling 'Obama'.

The violent GOP base shines yet again.

the most telling sign of difference between democrats/liberals and republicans/conservatives. when mcc ain gave his concession speech, the name of Obama was booed. When Kerry lost in 2004 and gave his speech, no one booed bush's name. and that was after 4 years of president fuck up.

so go ahead conservatives, be bitter, be hateful, let it eat you up inside.

The fact is, you don't have the facts...how do you know it wasn't race? Piecing together theories on partial information is just wrong. Also, despite how much people want to generalize, it's wrong to generalize.

I am only quoting directly from what people said.
They looked at me and said, 'Obama!'
. . .
And Kamara says he heard his assailants scream the word "Obama!" but not any other racial or religious slurs

i am simply relaying what was reported.
how are those 'not' the available facts?

Whether they were racially motivated or not.

Whether they were infact GOP, hate to burst your bubble but there were probably some Democrats that were upset about Obama winning.

Third, you generalize. So, do you still blame every German for Hitler? Do you use bad behavior by a few thugs late at night on a city street to blanket statement every person that's in the GOP? So if a black person robs me tonight, I can blame Obama? Do you realize you're starting to become as bad as SeniorChief, Hogtrash, and the others that blindly spew comments.

I'm no fan of the Republicans, I'm no fan of the Democrats, but I don't like generalizations to mar a whole group of people. It's just an unintelligent way to comment on issues.

Who mentioned race but you?

My only projection was calling them GOP terrorists,
but it is unlikely that they are Democrats, Libertarians, Greens or Constitutionalists.

The GOP has been ruthlessly dirty, even to their own on occasion.
I have not one whit of question spewing their very own acid right back at them.

Maybe that will burn away their putrefied flesh prurient rhetoric down to the bones of ideals & standards, provided they even have any of those left.

I think most their standards are gone.
Better to be clear with libertarianism or Police State militarists rather than to waste time on the slop pit the Republicans now are.
