Add concrete, some machinery, some food companies. There are several industries that burn coal, not just utilities. He will go back on that promise when he realizes the blunder.

He didn't say he would just simply bankrupt them, he said he would use taxes on carbon emissions to pressure them into using clean coal technologies. They could potentially bankrupt themselves if they ignored the pressure to switch.

really, he said he was going to bankrupt the coal industry...he said he was going to pursue agressive measures that would prohibit people from building new coal plants, and cause people to look towards alternative measures.
