Terror Alert Raised to the Color Orange!!!!

it is at RED for flights from Britain! pack up the kids and run for the hills! I hope everybody is doing OK during our stressfull elevated color chart times... wait are you supposed to run for the hills on orange? or red? i'm not sure what to do, all the govt tells us is a color, are we supposed to do something differently? or just sit and shake in our boots?


It is the first time the red alert level in the Homeland Security warning system has been invoked, although there have been brief periods in the past when the orange level was applied. Homeland Security defines the red alert as designating a “severe risk of terrorist attacks.”

There's an election coming up so we need a couple of good terror alerts to scare people to the polls.

On August 2, 2004 the terror alert was raised on many financial companies in NY and DC. Later it was discovered that the intelligence was 3 to 4 years old. Dubya’s daughters were even allowed to visit Citicorp a building that was in dire and imminent danger. :ugho:

The terror alerts seem to come up most often when things are looking really bad for the administration and it appears that the admin’s family and security staff don’t seem to take them very seriously so why should you?

The news does seem really scanty on actual details of the plot. I keep hoping to see some kind of actual explosives, or evidence of some kind.

I'm sorry to say the timing of this, and the lack of detailed evidence, is striking me as rather odd.
