View Full Version : Why are we down on consumers for over borrowing?

When we promote and support a government that over borrows and doesn't spend money wisely? Do we think that government money grows on trees?

What is funny is watching 'experts' say we all need to tighten our belts & be more responsible & not live on credit,
AND
Then they start talking about the worries over recession & how consumers need to go out & borrow & spend to help save us from it.

I guess the 'consumers' must be different people than us Americans?
The experts are expressing our innate schizophrenia?

I think the better philosophical paradigm is to borrow for those things in your long term benefit [both personally & in government] rather than borderline trivial quick thrills.

Think of building a fire, you use some quickie stuff to get things going, but you gradually add larger & larger slower burning logs that will keep it going stead for a long time.

Recently we started treating a house as a 'trivialized' asset? That just doesn't make any sense.

I think our economic sensibilities have lost all perspective of scale & gravitas.
We don't sort & differentiate our priorities.
The consequences of that are [now] telling.

DEMOCRATS steal elections, because they can't win fair & square.

They are liars, thieves, murderers & cheats & . . . . TRAITOR-TERRORISTS.

Shut up you anti-American parasite. lol

you people are so stupid.

Dangerously stupid.

Why don't you die & go off to your religious freakdom?

If you REALLY believed it would be no big deal, would it?

Instead you meddle in & destroy this universe, this planet, this known reality.

Put up or shut up.
Either die because you believe, or shut the fuck up with your psychopathic lies.

Well i have more faith in me, based on my experience, observation calculus & upbringing than on your grand castigations.

Are you hoping your empty words will scare me?
insult me?

Maybe i am wrong, but i am betting the Universe is one hell of a lot more real than anything you have come up with.

but maybe if you throw that holy water around in computer calculated trajectories it will make your 'magic' happen.

hmmm, any luck? lol

my guess, . . . no.

I am scientific.

The weight of the evidence does not support the notion of some humanoid anthropomorphic entity intervening for any identifiable purpose.

Maybe God, Jesus, Mohamed &/or [other?] will show up one day,
in the mean time i think it is advisable that we operate to sensibly self-organize for collective survivability & with as much personal freedom as possible, given the previous stricture.

Perhaps God is watching to see if we are worthy, based upon our actions?

You treat religion as some kind of free-loading sycophancy. ewww <shudder>
You abandon your own thought process.
Did god not give you a mind? a free will?
did he not want you to use it?

your religion just defies all logic.

i really don't think i like nor respect you as people.

remember with 6.5 billion of us, those who are wrecking it for the rest of us are not only expendable, but our survival depends on eliminating them.

note: edit, thanks to Sharon's attention. <kissypoo>

It's wrecking with a w.

Disrupter, after having read your cold, sad description of your way of believing, I can't help but feel sorry for you. If I had been your parent when you were young and wrongly influenced, I would have beat the hell out of what ever teacher, professor or whoever put that garbage in your poor little head. I have had brainwashers attempt to sway me to not believe in a god, during my college years. I, thank God, I was wise enough to see through it. They were off base in pushing their belief system on the students in the classroom. As I would be trying to push mine on anyone. But, the teacher and professor were cold and callous and empty as though they couldn't feel. Sad. I would rather have faith in something good than no faith at all. I wont judge you. I just feel bad for you. Hang with me maybe you'll come around ;)

you are sad.

Desperate prisoner of a maze of illusions.

The outlook for humanity is not so good, folks.

reality is our 'educator'.
ignoring it is just stupid.

you don't have to be hung-up on feelings to have them.
that is the power of the articulate mind.
I am not their mere puppet. We [me & my feelings] have a dialogue relationship.
we are sane. lol

guess what?

life is weird.

death is certain & absolute.
your clenching to it is disturbing.

you are disturbed.
you missed the fundamental point of living.

life is the shepherding of the ephemeral.
the dance between matter & energies.

I love life. You are wierd. I don't clench to life, I live it. What the hell are you smoking? Or are you shooting it up. That same dumb ass that distorted your beliefs gave you some hard shit huh? Give me their name and number, I'll help you.
You sound like life is an illusion. That, again, is sad. Quit being so emo.
