View Full Version : "Here are the facts." - media continues to vette Palin, slow but facts are coming

"Here are the facts. Governor Palin supported the Bridge to Nowhere, requested hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks, never visited Iraq, increased spending as governor, increased taxes as governor, and was about as successful selling that luxury jet on eBay as the McCain campaign has been selling her reputation as a reformer. Oh yeah, and the gas pipeline she touts won’t be usable for at least a decade, if it’s completed at all."

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/13/1393986.aspx

So, she's a typical republican, claiming she will reduce taxes, but actually increasing spending, and dumping the increased costs and interest on future governors.

Oh wait - she did increase taxes. What a surprise.

Just like Bush has in reality increased taxes by devaluing the dollar and borrowing how many trillions of dollars now? And how many trillions more in the future?

So, all this republican talk about reducing taxes is actually pure bullshit, outright lies, fed to them straight from their corporate masters.

You know, their masters, the BIG corporations who don't actually pay taxes, using tax code trickery, while sucking up hundreds of billions in republican-sponsored corporate welfare straight from the taxpayers pockets.

Senator Obama has already been vetted. And the 'your boy' comment is yet another racist slur.

This woman was not vetted by the McCain campaign and the blogosphere has been relentless. It's time to get some facts on that woman. What Bill quoted is 100% accurate. Disprove it. And don't start with the Obama BS again. This is about the one with the vagina.

That's where I think you're wrong. I think McCain and his staff did a complete job and it was part of his strategy. The same problem I have with Obama, I have with Palin, I just don't think either are up for the job...I think McCain was up for the job 8 years ago, but not anymore.

Honestly I wish we could have a do-over this election cycle...wait, I wish we could have had a do-over the last 3 :disbelief:

Ohhh Bite me, I have been saying that phrase probably since before you were even borne. Don't give me that bull shit about it being racist.

This is about the one with the vagina.
For someone that claims to be a "Christian" and take offence to my language, you sure have a way with words.

By the way, NO ONE has answered ANY of my points above..

Get lost...

Does anyone here truly believe that Palin wasn't handed to McCain by his handlers as a political strategy? Her selection has Karl Roves finger prints all over it!

If Hillary had won the DNC nod as scheduled, McCain would be the docile sacrificial lamb he was supposed to be, and the corporate money behind both parties would not give a crap.

Sarah Palin is proof that the corporate money that has been buying up both parties since the Eisenhower Administration is scrambling to make McCain electable because they don't own Obama like they did Hillary.

Why else isn't this election just as predictable as the last one?

You want proof that the corporate money didn't care if Bill Clinton beat Bush Sr in 1992? The current Clinton bank account.

You want proof that Bill was on their controllable payroll his first term? Bob Dole as the republican sacrifice in 1996.

Don't you think that if Hillary was the DNC nominee that McCain would be counting the days until retirement?

You never have a point. Most bigots don't.

Mr. Blue, I humbly disagree. She has served a purpose for the McCain camp. Yes. But they did not bother to take even a cursory look at her record. That is indisputable. And it concerns me for several reasons. At this level one must do their due diligence. McCain couldn't be bothered with the details and now we must all endure this 3-ring circus.

Both sides vette candidates in their on way. Do you think Obama was vetted better, jeese. Not a chance, he has many smoking guns and some controversial friends. Many of his records are being concealed with no moral or ethical reason...........if he's clean then what is there to hide?

1. Baraquie Hussein was NEVER vetted. He was the DNC/Media's "golden boy" from day one and has had a free pass on everything from siding with terrorists and racists to shady real estate deals to lying on his bar exam about coke abuse.

2. Sarah Palin could give a shit less about the media, nor their vetting.

Dude,

'Vetting' does not mean "finding a squeaky clean candidate", it means "to gather information". Palin was unknown when she was thrust on to the national stage by McCains handlers. The national level public has been vetting Obama since 2004. By the time he accepted the nomination there was little left unknown about the man.

Is Obama squeaky clean? Hell, no! He used weed and coke in his youth - just like me, he is human... I like it!

Well, he really wasn't "known" to the American public until about a year or less ago. I'm part of the American public that watches various news programs weekly and I had never heard of him until then. Not a peep! And then, out of the blue, there he was, shoved in our faces. Ever since, the media has been in cahoots with the DNC and can't seem to fill enough air time, articles, videos etc. about this messiah. People and the media should give God that much attention. Just because a pie is shoved in ones face, doesn't make it a great tasting one when swallowed.

Obviously you know enough about Obama to not like him as a candidate...

I feel that I know enough about him to support his candidacy for president...

Isn't informed choice a wonderful thing?

This is true! However, by the same token, I don't like McCain either. But it seems to be the norm anymore to throw us candidates that are both ass wipes and then expect us to choose one of them. What a wonderful way to have to pick a president, by deciding who is the lesser of the evils. Hmmm....

Not even a fraction as tired as I am of hearing them, but thank you for your comment.

Senator Obama was thrust on the national scene when he gave the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. If you don't know that, then you must ask yourself why.

Well, I didn't watch it because I don't watch that crap so far in advance. It's enough to watch it during the year when they are out doing their lying thing in order to drum up votes for the upcoming election. It gets boring and old very quickly. Even then, most people wouldn't even listen to it and find out about him until election year. Why in the heck would anyone want to listen to him that far in advance is beyond me. It's enough to hear the candidates during the election year. You can find out all you want to know during that time.
