I think its is a huge cowincidence that Bush was an oil man and oil and gas prices are sky high

what was he doing getting the oil companys tax breaks 2 years ago

how come he never got my industry any tax breaks
or any industry of anybody i know

how come there were those secret energy meeting at the white house

what happened to the Iraqs oil revenues
how come we cant get a fair price on a barrel of oil from them

last week i read an article and it said that during president clintion admin
a little over 2000 us drilling permits were approved

so far in Bush's admin 7016 drilling permits were approved

clinton's numbers reflect his 8 year term and bush has only been president for almost 6 years

so if theres triple the amount of drilling then there shouldnt be a tight supply

and this refinery thing is bullshit
are you gonna beleive that big oil with all its campin contrubtions and lobbyists cant build a refinery

please.....

100% Dubya's fault? NO. Has he influenced it a great deal? Of course and no one with an open mind can possibly deny that.

China has increased the world demand for oil. In 200 they were consuming 6% and now they're consuming 8%. As the think tanks will tell you this influences the prices but certainly not enough to make the prices jump so high.

Whenever there is war in the Middle East oil prices sky rocket.

Condi wrote a paper when she was at Chevron saying that if the all the US Oil Companies got together and cut refining production that they would see a major increase in price/profit.

Cheney's past is full of shady deals. He's Secretary of Defense. Hires Haliburton to do a study. Then gives Haliburton huge contracts based on the study. Then gets paid huge amounts of $$$ from Haliburton the leaves Haliburton and gives them huge $$$ in contracts and they don't even have to account for about $1.8 billion in US tax payer money.

When Cheney has private meetings you can pretty much assume from his past that they're shady, he's going to make bank and we're going to get screwed.

The administration isn't completely responsible for the oil price but they are obviously responsible for the vast majority of the price increase.

Yes, gas prices are Bush's fault and so is the decline of America as we know it.

Tommy,

You forgot that he passed legislation that was also very favorable to the credit card companies with the new bankrupcy laws.

Obviously the oil companies and credit card companies need government help.

no... it is the fault of the democraticly controlled congress who were dumb enough to give him the option of going to war with Iraq and the American people for being dumb enough to follow him... American citizens have nobody else but themselves to blame for anything in the end, it is our country and the majority goes along with the status quo and asks no questions

of course I have not, facts in this country are hard to come by... at the time of the vote the dems had power in the senate (where the powerful people play) and could have avoided all of this mess we are in right now if they had any brains and/or balls

read this article (http://archives.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/10/11/iraq.us/) and read all the quotes from our politicians... the Reds were making insane statements and the dems really thought that the behind doors handshake deal of NOT actually going to war but just trying to look tough was gonna be kept... well not all of them but nobody listened to the only smart people America voted into office...

and if you don't think the war in Iraq has anthing to do with oil prices well :dunno:

So in mid 2001 a Republican switched to Independent and the dems had a 50 / 49 lead over the reps for a few months. The vote for the war occurred 1 month before reelection and everyone that didn't vote for the war was called unpatriotic just like they did in Nazi Germany.

The reps had complete control of the house. There were more reps in congress then dems at the time.

The dems didn't control shit. The ignorant American people wanted a war with some body and Saddam at least looked like the Saudis that attacked us so it was a go.

Besides, congress was also being fed bull shit about how 10 years of sanctions did nothing to harm the Iraqi war machine.

Now everyone knows that Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks and was no direct threat to the USA but then some people believed differently (why I have no fucking idea).

and the vote was 77-23... it was our only chance to at least stop and think before we jumped into Iraq and it was greased thru with politics as usual in America... the dems either sold out to win elections or stupidly trusted the Reds to not go to war and the un-informed ignorant Americans got what they wanted...now they are paying for it with the high gas prices and so our the rest of us...
