Government is responsible for us, they are responsible for our health care, our retirement savings, our education, they even tell us what is OK to put in our bodies, and what isn't, and thankfully they use the police power of government to force us to do these things so that there is no option of freedom. As Americans this what we want, big government making our decisions for us, because they always know what is best. Always. Do they give us the option of investing our Social Security money on our own? Of course not, because they know it is best for us not to be free to make that choice. Do they allow us to smoke pot even if we don't hurt anyone other than ourselves while doing it? No, because they know what is best for us and use the police power of government to force that on us. Do they let us marry who we want or give us the option to not contribute to government charity programs we don't agree with? Of course not, because they know best... always. Same with Iraq, even if you disagree with it, you have to admit, government always knows best, and this is what they have decided is best for us, so we shouldn't question it, we should sit back and be thankful we live in a country where we don't have to make choices and live with the consequences. The only gripe I think we should have is they need to bring back the draft. People shouldn't be free to choose to if they join the military or not, government should make that decision.

Kres...this is a better effort, and is appreciated...but the 'you' behind the "you" is showing through here and there, and one place is your social security riff.

The repugs want to "invest" a percentage..probably 50% in the stock market...where else would they invest?

That would infuse the market with the greatest bounce of cash ever concieved, thereby creating a huge bubble in the averages.

While enriching the industrial complex, it would also support the USDollar in a time when international confidence in the $$ is rightfully erroding on the one hand and feeding the EUDollar and gold, on the other.

(the industrial complex issues, trades, holds and use stock for money in buyouts...also officers have employment contracts that include under-scale rights of purchase...this is how the industrial complex profits directly from a bubble in their stocks...it also protects them from hostile takeovers)

After the instant inflow of cash subsides to a regular flow, the rich will have already siphoned off everyone's retirement money and the bubble will begin to leak.

Meanwhile, back in the dark of washington DC, the government's SS committment to all the people, will be halved...a time for rejoicing, for the projected cost of government will have come down remarkably with bragging rights all around the elephant.

So I figure you aren't a repug, but an even less compassionate (if that is possible) libertarian conservative. (but I suppose that is redundant)

So keep it comming...you can't hide successfully. (I suspect you are actually subnormal signing in under a different sobriquette...I remember early on, you writing inflamitory riffs designed to cause immediate objections...this has much of that same flavor.) :)

I love Republicans, and Democrats, both parties love big government, and plenty of it. I have never understood why the two don't get along. I see you agree with me that we should be willing to sacrifice freedoms over to government if they think it is best for us. Same with listening to out phone calls, searching our credit reports, etc. These are freedoms I can't wait to sacrifice if government so requests. I am thinking we should start a 3rd party called the Anti-Freedom Party which will put aside the BS squabbles of Reps and Dems and get down to squashing freedom for a Big Government Always Knows Best platform. What do you think?

Kres...I think you should stop everything and run on that platform...a public servant...as it were.

Personally, I think we're loosing freedoms as fast as the people and the courts can injest the change...and now I read that there is a patriot III in the works.

I also read that a new law (or the mangling of an old law) now puts civilians under the martial law courts system (read kangaroo...)

How many rights is that?

As far as the third party thing goes...that spot is already taken by some texan I believe his name is schwartz or something...supposed to a commer..ala ross prerou...I went to his site (under construction) and it was split into two halves...one of them being in German...how cool is that... a German running a nazi government? Life is sweet if you live long enough...right?

So you'll have to run a fourth party...learn to speak German...or if that's not an option, surround yourself with heavily accented spokesmen...the dummies won't know any better, and it will nullify #3's edge.

I suppose you know not to dismantle all of butch's groundwork as butch did Clinton's work, building a good name around the world, balancing the budget and setting the stage for everyone's prosperity...just checking :)

Good luck in your campaign...but I guess in these times, all the sheeple need is to be shown a strong hand and you're a shoe-in...no luck needed.

Being President is too much work for me. I don't work more than 40 hours a week as government has told me this is ideally the most I should work. I think being President requires more time. I just want to be able to work a job get paid whatever the government thinks I should be paid, and then go home and be lazy and not have to worry about anything because government is 100% responsible for me.
