I got this from http://www.democraticunderground.com/

this seems a little far fetched but
I dont know even if it came true I could beleive this

KBR has been planning the invasion of Iran since 2003 (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x3108489)
I worked in Iraq for nearly 11 months in 2005 and 2006. While I was there I talked to several mid-level KBR management types. I heard many interesting stories and took most of them with a grain of salt. But there was one that may or may not prove to be true sometime this month.

One day, while talking to my supervisor, who had been in Iraq working for KBR since just after the beginning of the war in 2003, we were talking about the situation with Iran. I said there was no way we would start a war with Iran due to the inability of our government to sufficiently fight the current war with Iraq. I said that the military was overstretched and there was no way we could man two fronts in two separate countries.

He disagreed and told me that the war with Iran was planned way back in 2003. I didn't believe him. He said that early in the Iraq war, KBR personell were allowed to go into areas that were now considered secret. He stated that he was in an upper level management office which had maps of the region on the wall. He noticed a map with the Iraq/Iran border on it and it had several arrows from Iraq into Iran and it also had highlighted areas within the border of Iran. He asked someone in the office what a map of Iran was doing up and what all the arrows and highlighted areas indicated. "Oh, that is our point of entry into Iran in January of 2007," was what he said the person told him. He further stated the highlighted areas where future American bases that were to be built by KBR.

Like I said earlier, I take everything I heard in Iraq with a critical mindset. Most of the people I worked with were exaggerators to put it diplomatically. But after hearing Bush's speech and his inclusion of Iran and Syria and his apparent threats against those countries, I wonder if those maps and plans were real.

If we do begin another military mission against Iran this month, it would seem that it has been planned since 2003. Any "provocation" at this point will be the tail wagging the dog to make sure the pre-planned war can be carried out.

I talked to a different KBR manager in 2005 who told me that the invasion of Iraq had been on the drawing board since 2000 and that he had seen plans and estimates for building American bases inside the country.

I guess we will know in a few more weeks.

Yo Tommy, after reading 50 or so replys to the thread posted above 1 (reply to post,#37),stated my thought's,with the omission of one,or two points of fact, that make story above,umm...less than credible. They are #1.any civillian contrator( corperation's C.E.O.,executive board's P.or V.P.,or if unincorperated, companys, under millitary contract owner(s)and executive managment.)must pass indepth security screen(s)as well as swear to and sign an oath;which in part demands never to disclose the content,or nature of any classified document,or conversation/discusion pertaining to material marked sec.level 2 (sensitive)or above. If he's not lying, his superviser was,or the misteryman at the desk, had a wry sence of humour...or a more fitting description...was a "Fucking Asshole",please excuse my use of profanity.ex. p.s.KBR employee's do not,nor have ever had access to any ranking Millitary Officer's ops.staff's restroom's floor number, without thier presence being requested, and insured by an armed escort.Period! g-nite,ex.

To be honest, I never thought about this much but just assumed it was a given considering the ties between Cheney, Halliburton, KBR and PNAC. It's only logical that KBR would be putting together plans to funnel obscene amounts of US government money to friends of the admin in Iran just like they did in Iraq.

KBR was created by Cheney's men to end run US sanctions (congress) and get involved with Iraq and Iran. There are many instances of government contractors getting classified information from friends that want them to win contracts even before Cheney got put in office. No one has been so bold in flaunting his connections with the abuse of government money as Cheney so I see no reason to believe that this didn't take place.

It's kind of like paying a traffic fine to a cop in cash on the streets of Mexico. You don't have any proof that he's going to keep the money but it's just so obvious from all past experiences that you don't really question it.

I have no evidence either way but my experience working with government contractors, living in DC and seeing what's happened the past 6 years would make me believe this. I won't argue or debate it because it's arguing a belief and not a fact.

I used to enjoy playing Chess and one thing about playing chess or any strategy game for that matter is that you think ahead, make plans and contingency plans, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least that there is a plan for Iran.

Does it mean it'll ever be acted on, who knows, maybe or maybe not, but a military strategist would be foolish not to have a comprehensive plan that includes all the possible scenarios.

The middle east is far more intertwined than other parts of the world and if I were forced to come up with strategy for the region you better bet that I'd have plans ready for Iran and Syria...may never use them, but I would have them ready.

Funny thing is since the election every once in a while I have seen a stock market article on how Hal plans to spin off KBR

taking the company public on its own
I thought once KBR is spun off and the cash is counted and the dust settles maybe the Iraq war will end

Contingency plans,(offencive&defencive) addressing possible or probable logistical senarios,in the event of (required millitary intervention/retaliation)are continually (24/7/365) upgraded,as well as retired(due to politcal/economic,changes).Unless I missed something since "92",or friends, who are still with certain government agencys, did'nt include...(what I took as common, although predominatly ignored by the media, and the public as well)...knowledge...Predudicial contract awards, blatent disreguard of federal rules&guidelines by lobbyists, and the greed driven officials they court, scumbag's who leak,or supply gov.doc.pertaining to agenda's projected cost's(inflated costs to be sure) and duration time.KBR.,fits the profile, and may be guilty of,(A long list, but in a word) graft! And is also guilty by association;to many, apparently. As for the alledged invaision route(s),and proposed Mil.Base site's.I am assuming "several" to be less than 10,more than 5. split the dif. makes 7...2 operation command bases Forward&Rear,3 fire bases,1 armored infantry/med.evac.battalion base ..."Hoo-Rah,Da Bears win by 3 in the 4th qt.after the 2 min.warning!"{Oh,excuse me,I beat the line,Nice payday.}1 recon./special ops./demo/forward fuel, and ordinance dep.divisional base...Seems "unlikely/unbelievable" that a map outlining projected base locations and,or,access route's,assuming opposition(hardly an assumption)would be hanging on a wall,in an office,in an official millitary building, high sec. or low...ex.

I don't know if history can indicate these present operations, as KBR subcontracts management as well as workers.

First EX, In your lists of crimes, you forgot OPEN-ENDED no bid contracts, that are COST-PLUS in figuring the bill to the US taxpayer.

In as much as screening of individuals, I have seen no evidence or that either way in the testimonials of those truckers hired from barrios all over the world.

Who respond to advertizing (probably in soldiers of fortune magazine) of big bucks...to get their ass shot off (but with COST-PLUS, who cares we make money off his burning corpse in the books)..and some testfy they were told to drive empty trucks part of the time.

I can see easily how a map could be posted of trucker's objectives when considering the push to keep the number of runs high, coupled with drivers chosen from a cattle-call, along with few "old timers", because from what I read, no reliable escort or protection was guarenteed to them in practice.

Yo Stefan, excuse the omission(s).indepth security screening is only required for those who make final decisions,as in start-up,and duraition time needed for completion,of tasks as outlined within contractors proscribed agenda(s).mid-level management, supervision,as well as truck drivers, and shovel techs.are'nt given anymore info.than pick that up and take it there, dig a hole here, then dig a hole over there.management info.We need this hauled there, and that dug here.By whenever!any questions!cya. ex.
