This may be the worst security flaw we have seen in touch screen voting machines,” says Open Voting Foundation president, Alan Dechert. Upon examining the inner workings of one of the most popular paperless touch screen voting machines used in public elections in the United States, it has been determined that with the flip of a single switch inside, the machine can behave in a completely different manner compared to the tested and certified version.

Did you think that there was a good reason to start using paperless voting machines? Everyone in the data security industry knows that there is only one reason to go with a paperless electronic machine.
The only time in the history of voting that exit polls were wrong was using electronic voting machines in the last election.
The first time they were used at least one district counted more votes for Dubya then the total number of registered voters in that district.
This is why Internet voting can NOT work.
Most states allow electronic voting machines with wireless access.
You need some means for the voter to verify the vote and this bypasses that process. The only other option is to publish everyone's name and how they voted. That would be the perfect check but unfortunately that's not how it works.
