Iran's attack defeats west - In the end the west is desperately happy to have oil prices start crawling back towards affordability, and China is just as glad - so let's face it - nobody with power can touch Iran unless they want their economy destroyed by Iran first.

There is no doubt that even now the west, its governments, its right-wing voters and all those to blame for its genocides/state-terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and other unhappy lands (Israel,Nicaragua,Pakistan?) is terrified of the consquences of trying to be hostile to Iran. From now on they will just bleat about it as part of election campaigns and leave it at that. Moreoever they will have to stop trying to scare iranian people with fear of violence because if iran repeats what it did for 3 weeks, the USA will be a country in which the most common language is Mandarin - since they will have to sell their country to China for enough money to get a hotel room in Poland or Czechoslovakia.
