"I'm not here to say that the government is always right, but when the government tells you to do something, I'm sure you would all agree that I think you all recognize that is something you need to do." -- Sen. Kit Bond (R-Missouri), explaining why his fellows had to lock arms with him and grant telecom immunity.

It's shocking a man can say something so totally against the our founding fathers and keep his job. Why does this man hate our way of life so much that he would rather have a government controlled state?
So sad :(

Big government knows best is the call of all big government homers, neocons, liberals, republicans, democrats, statists, socialist, etc.

For most Americans 95%+ the government should always do what they think is best for us, regardless of any personal, civil, or economic freedoms it robs us of.

Its sad that people like Kit Bond are able to get elected. Of course our next president will also beleive "Government knows best", be it McCain or Obama, and pretty much everyone who votes is going to vote for one of them.

I am absolutely livid about the House passing FISA and giving immunity to the telephone companies for violating the Constitution and committing treasonous acts against American citizens. I was so mad I actually planned on calling my Congressman but before doing so I thought I checked how he voted. Smart, huh? The SOB voted against it.

No politician would vote for this bill unless they knew about it. And by “it” I mean, they knew about the torture, they knew about the spying on American citizens on American soil. Anyone who voted for this ought to be voted out of office.

Now I am a conservative and by nature I don’t march or boycott and do much of anything in the form of demonstrations. This is …this is a problem. It’s H.R. 6304 and the Senate is debating it now.

I am glad to see you write that as you wouldn't want universal healthcare run by the government either.

What politician wants healthcare run by the government? So far Mitt Romney is the only one that signed it into law in any state.

Do you know anything about the healthcare plans?

It's not just Big Government they want you to believe is always right,
it is convincing you that Big Corporations are also always right.

Government with Corporations is the sickest form of incest.

Big government is always run by big corporations, the two are one and the same
