E. D. Hill (born Edith Ann Tarbox on July 27, 1961) is an American news anchor who works for Fox News Channel.

Joining the network in 1998, Hill anchored America's Pulse, a show that aired until June 10, 2008 when it was canceled. She co-hosts Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. Hill moved to the 2:00 p.m. hour after serving as host of the 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon block of Fox News Live. These changes were part of a line-up change that also includes fellow anchors Jon Scott and Jane Skinner teaming up for a show called Happening Now.[1] Previously, Hill was a co-host on the Fox News Channel's morning show Fox & Friends from 1999 to 2006.

A graduate of the University of Texas with a bachelor's degree in journalism, she is working on a master's degree in government. Hill won a local Emmy Award for Outstanding News Special while working for WHDH-TV in Boston (1990-91), and has also received a Golden Quill Award for live spot news reporting.

In November 2005 Hill published a book entitled Going Places: How America's Best and Brightest Got Started Down the Road of Life, a collection of personality profiles. She has been married three times and is the mother of five children and stepmother to her husband's, venture capitalist Joe Hill, three children from a previous marriage.

More recently, she has filled in for Bill O'Reilly on The O'Reilly Factor.

In June 2008, Hill was criticized for referring to an affectionate gesture made between Barack Obama and his wife after the final 2008 presidential Democratic primaries as a "terrorist fist jab". Hill, introducing an upcoming discussion, wondered aloud if the gesture was "A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab?"[2][3][4][5][6]

Fox News announced on June 10, 2008 that Hill's show America's Pulse had been canceled.[7]

FNC is a private institution where the speech of others is supposed to represent and reflect FNC. Not only was the comment unprofessional and clearly slanderous, even for today's journalistic standards, but reflected quite poorly on FNC. Further, FNC isn't Congress and any private employer has the right to run roughshod over your "free speech" (as many of you probably know by experience).

Same thing with hate speech or sexual harasment. Say someone was stalking you and leaving vile, sexually graphic messages to you, oh, say on, message boards or blogs or answering machines. There is a law against that. In fact federal and state laws. Even if the person is anonymous, like over the telephone or internet. Nowadays anyone can be tracked down. So while you may have the right to say whatever you want, that right isn't extended in all circumstances.

PAY ATTENTION! There's is very little fare and balanced in any news. Just about everybody has an ax to grind. You only notice FOX cause their so anti-you. Believe me they are out numbered by left-wing news. AM radio is the only place dominated by the right. If you shop around you can find some news programs that dont pander to the Dems or Reps. Lou Dobbs and John Stoussel are a couple. Believe it or not regardless of what you might of heard Mike Savage hates both Dem and Rep politicians. Keep an open mind and listen to all sides. Try to see through the first layer and try not to believe something just because you want to.

I disagree. I notice Fox News because it's so NOT news JOURNALISM. It's NEWS COMMENTARY.

Olbermann, Fox, Mahar, Beck, Rush, Coulter and all only provide news for the purpose of supporting their own opinions. Left or right it doesn't matter. I don't respect any of them and I believe that they profit from dividing this country. They spend time attacking people instead of reporting on issues. Innuendo, NLP and just plain using micro facts to get people to beleive.

On cable it appears that MSNBC was not able to promote Tucker to a profitable status on his own and they replaced him with a far left commentator so now after about 6:00 PM that's all they do.

Fox is pretty much all day Neoconservative commentary attacking all competition of News Corp and anyone that prefers Ben Franklin's America over Hannity's.

CNN has Glen Beck and Nancy Grace in the evenings.

When I do my channel flipping (I'm terrible about this for about an hour a night) I see mostly Neoconservative commentary since CNN's Beck and Fox sandwich MSNBC.

I have never stumped for the NLP or any Party.
NLP stands for Neuro-linguistic programming. It's how Savage gets listeners to beleive. While all the talking heads use emotions (usually fear), anchors, repetition and word play to program you into buying their wares and come back for more I was very impressed with Savage's use of tonality.

While he uses the sane bag of tricks that are used by the others, I found his tonality to be wonderful. I'm sure that he has the ability to program his listeners much faster then the rest.
