That's why race "wasn't supposed to" play a role in his campaign - at least in the beginning.

It wasn't long ago when someone threatened to track you down in person and damage your career. I wanted to check with lawyer to see what legal issues existed and it turns out there aren't any but I went the extra mile to protect you.
Now I see that you're wishing death upon someone else? You need mental help and you should get it fast.
I'm giving you one warning. No threatening anyone or wishing harm on anyone else. That's insane and there's no room for that here.
I rarely agree with Frank but I don't wish him any harm.

Sorry, I guess I should have explained myself. Him saying that "Obama looks like a monkey, but not in a racist way" is disingenous. As my wishing him death, but "not in a bad way" was obvioulsy disingenous. At least to me it was. I was attempting to point out that hypocrisy. I truly doesn't wish harm to any. It was the first example that came to mind.
Apparently, I made a bad analogy. For that I am sorry. But I find racism offensive. I find blatant racism, blantantly offensive. While I support the 1st amendment, I think that frank's post was racist and I called him on it.
FYI, wishing death is not the same as saying "I will kill you" That other poster made a threat. I did not threaten frank.

Hey Frank,
When a white person calls another white person a monkey = Not Racist (but i don't think anyone should be called an animal)
When a white person calls a Black person a monkey = Racist, because the white person is claiming to be a superior human race, while the Black person is a lower un-evolved animal.
But if a person did not believe in Evolution from primate to human, then the slanderous comment wouldn't even make sense.

Wow, are you familiar with the history of segregation when a person was deemed "Black" if he had even 1% of African in his family tree. Maybe he is upset that white americans discriminated against black americans for centuries and miscegenation was outlawed until the 1960's.
I suppose you think Obama's RW critics call him a Monkey as a sign of affection. It has nothing to do with making a demeaning, derogatory comment about his intellect. It is a racist comment when a white person calls or says a Black person looks like a monkey.
Frank, you don't like Obama and you don't like liberals, so I can only conclude that your statement is not one of affection but to demean the presidential candidate.

I doubt that. Of the three candidates he still manages to be the most articulate, most honest (have you heard McCain's comments lately about Iraq and Hillary's sniper story?) and still the best organized of the three.
Hillary can't mount a campaign without loaning it money, McCain can't manage to distance himself from the worst president in history.
And these two are the idiots some people want running the country? But they aren't paranoid racists. No sireee.
Some people, like Betty, have valid reasoning for wanting Hillary. Her husband's track record, but others? When the most intelligent reason you can give for not wanting a candidate as president is to post ape pictures and make comparisons on appearance, that person is definitely displaying signs of racist leanings.
Bush was called a Chimp for his behavior AFTER he bacame president, not before.
Speaks volumes about the type of rightwingers this site attracts.

Anti-white racism vs Reverse racism
( charts updated in March 2007)
http://www.racismeantiblanc.bizland.com/005/08-02.htm
When people want to talk about anti-white racism, they use various ways to do so. English speaking people will talk about either "anti-white racism" or "reverse racism". They have actually a third way which is not much used: albophobia, a scientific word about the irrationnal fear toward white people. it is made from the latin root Albus (white) and the greek root Phobos (fear) but it is seldom if ever used. you might take into account a fourth way, when anti-white is spelled antiwhite. A good way to evaluate the use of such expressions is to do keyword searches in the Google Search Engine and see how many pages are found.
All these designations to talk about anti-white racism are very telling of the confusion people feel when they want to talk about this matter. However, expressions such as reverse racism are not only an improper way to talk about anti-white racism but they are actually damaging for people of European Descent.
Why ?
Generally, we only hear about white racism while other kinds of racism - especially anti-white racism - are getting few coverage. This has gradually shaped the idea that only whites are racists or that they are more racist than other racial groups. However, this isn't true. In the U.S. FBI Statistics on hate crime show, for exemple, that Whites are under-represented as hate crime perpetrators compared to their share of the population . Black people are over represented as hate crime perpetrators compared to their share of the population, and overwelmingly so when in comes to inter-racial crimes.
The unique and deliberate focus of anti-racist organisations and the media on White hate crimes, while other displays of hate crime - and interracial crimes - tend to be minimised or denied, has created the perception that there is a norm, a reference, a general rule in racism: racism is a "white thing".
The expression "reverse racism" reflects this. It implies also that there is a "norm", a "direction" in racism and that it is some white people's racial hostility toward other ethnic groups, that Whites are allways the "racists", while people belonging to other ethnic or racial groups are allways the "victims". The expression "reverse racism" not only gives a validation to this idea but by using it, people who may want to denounce anti-white racism are spreading it.
There is no "norm" in racism and Whites don't hold a monopoly on racism. The fact that so many people - most of them Whites - are using expressions like "reverse racism" shows that they have learnt from the anti-racist discourse this racist - this anti-white - prejudice.
Anti-white racism isn't a "reverse racism"; it is a specific and distinct kind of racism.
In the english speaking world wide web, statistics highlights a disturning trend: a Google search shows that 85,74% % of english speaking web pages mentionning the topic of anti-white racism actually use the wrong expression "reverse racism", therefore helping spread the idea that the norm and reference in racism is some white people's racism. Only 14,26 % of english speaking web pages mentionning the topic of anti-white racism are using the proper expression anti-white racism, its misspelled form antiwhite racism or albophobia
Yet, this is an improvment compared to 2 years ago. Back then, 96.72 % of english speaking web pages mentionning the topic of anti-white racism used the wrong expression "reverse racism", therefore helping to spread the idea that the norm and reference in racism is some white people's racism. Only 3.28 % of english speaking web pages mentionning the topic of anti-white racism used the proper expression anti-white racism, its misspelled form antiwhite racism or albophobia. English speakers seem to have become more efficient when they talk about anti-white racism.
For French speaking people, the situation is quite different. keyword search show that appropriate expressions to mention anti-white racism are more frequent, amouting now to 97,48 % for 2,52 % of unappropriate expressions.
That is a remarquable increase : in march 2005 , a keyword search showed that french appropriate expressions to mention anti-white racism amouted to 64.07 % for 35.93 % of unappropriate expressions.
If the trends in labeling anti-white racism are important, this is because anti-white racism, while its victims are numerous and very real, is a seldom talked about topic.
Between 2005 and 2007, The number of pages taking properly about anti-white racism has increased by a factor of 34, while the number of pages using the "reverse racism" expression has increased only by a factor of 6. During the same period, The number of pages about racism has inceased by a factor of 5 and those about anti-semitism by a factor of 6.
However, because there are still few pages about anti-white racism. Out a total number of web pages mentionning either "racism", "anti-semitism" or anti-white racism , the web pages mentionning anti-white racism account is a mere 0.51 % of the total number, a slight increase from 0.36 % in 2005. But unfortunatly for english speakers, the majority of these pages -roughly 85 % -currently reinforce a racial prejudice against whites while they seek to denounce it.
For the French language, between 2005 and 2007, The number of pages taking properly about anti-white racism has increased by a factor of 51, while the number of pages using the "reverse racism" expressions has increased only by a factor of 2. During the same period, The number of pages about racism has increased by a factor of 10 and those about anti-semitism by a factor of 5.
Out a total number of web pages mentionning either "racism", "anti-semitism" or anti-white racism , the web pages mentionning anti-white racism account for 0.81 % of the total number, an increase from 0.2 % in 2005. 97 % of these pages now use the appropriate expression.
**The conclusion is that there is good to be said for both english speaking people and for french speaking people : both are improving the way they talk about anti-white racism and they talk more about it than they use to. Proportionally to the amount available of pages about racism on the internet, French speaking people, however, now tend to talk more about anti-white racism than english speaking people and they do so more efficiently, in a way that identify them as a specific group and does not relay racial prejudices toward Whites.
With few pages mentionning the topic of anti-white racism, can those who are concerned about it afford to use an improper expression that reinforce racial prejudices? There is certainly a need to raise awareness about this problem and it certainly belongs to every one. It is important to use the proper expressions like"anti-white racism" or "anti-white discrimination" "anti-white slurs" "anti-white attitude" because they do not convey a racial prejudice toward Whites. It actually helps to identify a specific kind of racism. Also, it clearly identifies Whites as an ethnic or racial group with a distinct identity and sense of purpose.
A good beginning to combat the spread of anti-white stereotypes by the well meaning people who actually want to denounce this problem is to writte to journalists, columnists or webmasters who are using the "reverse racism" expression. It is to post a reply on internet forums whenever this expression is used. As the french exemple shows, it is possible to change the way we talk about anti-white racism. That's an important first step.
But it's also important for each and everyone to raise awareness about anti-white racism. it might be, for a webmaster, to devote a webpage of his website as an educationnal effort about this matter or even better, to create a specific page about anti-white racism to increase informations on this matter available on the internet.
The statistics mentionned above show there is much catching up to do, but also that some catching up can be done !
A good start to fight anti-white racism is, obviously, to change the way we talk about it !

‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’ Quote by Obama: From Audacity of Hope. Once again he back tracks on what he says as it is not what he means in this new Republican attack ad
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIlhTVyZfYY
This is Memorial Day weekend where we honor those who have fought for us and died in the wars. This is how Obama treats Vets:
http://www.vetsforfreedom.org/multimedia/details.aspx?id=278
Yet he had the nerve to stand on the Senate floor and attack John McCain for his treatments of Vets? Obama was way out of line here with this one. McCain is a true American Hero who took a trip to Hades and back in Vietnam and Obama doesn’t know the first thing about war let alone about our troops.
By Obama from Dreams of My Father: ‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, Dubois and Mandela.’
I watch him out on the campaign trail and I think. I hear the words of his wife and have read the racist and hate filled thesis that she wrote. I heard her anti American words and it amazes me that a single person would stand behind this man who is truly a racist and Anti-American. In his books, if you can stand to read them, BO shows his loyalty to other nations and states plainly his racist attitudes. In his own words:
From Dreams of My Father: ‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.’
From Dreams of My Father: ‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’
From Dreams of My Father: ‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’
From Dreams of My Father: ; ‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’
Let’s hear it again, taking snippets and out of context. The thing is why are there so many snippets to take? Barack Hussein Obama is who he is. He has said what he has said, he has written what he has written and his name is his name so why does he react violently when people address what he himself has stated or use his proper name? He says it is a scare tactic for people to use his name? Why, he chose it, he had his name changed from Barry to Barack so if he was ashamed of his name then why not have his middle name changed to meow or something? So Obama’s name is frightening? Actually there is a lot more about Obama that is frighten. I honestly believe with how under experienced Obama is that the following video has a lot of merit. Many people fear Obama in his stupidity with foreign affairs could land us into World War 3 or cause a civil war in the US. As they call for riots in Denver has Obama ever once said there will be NO riots?
Paul F. Villarreal
VillarrealSports.com
Still more troubling is the wife of Obama, Michelle. NoQuarter ask, who is she and what message will she bring? I’m asking if Barrack is elected then who is actually going to be running the White House. Everyone know Obama can’t make a move without Michelle’s approval so who will actually be making the decisions that affect our country? Maybe we will know more when the tape of her ranting about “whitey” comes out from the republicans in October.
Funny how even the evil KKK supports Obama.....A lot of hate mongers adore him. Red Flag!!!!:disbelief:

Some people, like Betty, have valid reasoning
for wanting Hillary. Her husband's track record...
Actually my primary concern is defeating McCain
and removing the neocons from the White House.
A Democratic party united behind an Obama-Clinton
ticket (or a Clinton-Obama ticket) would have a
better chance of beating McCain than either of the
candidates would have if they try to go it alone.
It scares me when I see Obama supporters saying
they wouldn't vote for Hillary if she was the nominee
and Clinton supporters saying they won't vote for
Obama. That could lead to defeat in November
and four more years of neocon rule.
The Republicans win elections because they stick
together and fight hard. The Democrats need to
do the same or we'll lose.

Fine, I get it that you don't like or respect Black people and you would call them monkeys to express your hatred.
Its ironic that many African-Americans have lived in America longer than 18th century European immigrants.
I never called your saviour, Barack Hussein Obama a monkey , I said he LOOKS like a monkey which is no different than you radical leftists comparing my president George Walker Bush to a monkey

Lady Mod, I've heard whites use the term "brotha" in very disparaging ways. Whereas my black friends don't think twice of me calling them brother. My Puerto Rican friends aren't too keen on the "spic" however. Context is everything, Sharon here is a card carrying member of the Aryan nation, whether she acknowledges or not.
You see it's the same thing with frank. Their racism is so ingrained, so part of their natural surroundings that they are unable and unwilling to see it. So frank truly believes when he calls Obama a "monkey" or tries to cloak that in "he looks like a monkey" (same thing really), that he is not making a racist statement and can't understand why people get angry at him as a racist. Same with Sharon. I pity the smallness of their lives.
