As the choice for VP gets closer for both McCain and Obama, it becomes clear that the swing states will be in play and a landslide in either direction will be unlikely. There are demographic weaknesses for both candidates and it seems to me that the battleground will likely be in the southwest close to McCain's Arizona. Ohio and Florida will still be in play but Florida will likely go Red. McCain's weakness is preserving the conservative base and holding on to the straight-talk independents. Obama will need to grab as much of the independents as he can. While I think McCain has the upper-hand now in the electoral map, I think if Obama makes the right VP choice, he can win over enough states. So what does everyone think about how the electoral map will look?
