Saw this interesting tidbit while surfing the net today. Seems as if Michelle Malkin, lgf and the rest of the right wing blog community has deemed Rachel Ray of all people as a terrorist sympathizer because she is wearing a black and white scarf in a Dunkin Donuts commercial. :lmao2:

How can anyone take posts on this website seriously when they come from people who only get their news from the right wing blogosphere? Scotty...beam me up!

I was reading about that. If anyone doesn't understand that Malkin is nuts already something like this isn't going to help them see the light. Hate is a powerful force and when combined with stupidity it has no limits.

I like her. She has spirit, intelligence and is assertive and strong. Guess her
backbone of steel is threatening to many.

You guess wrong. Those would be admirable qualities in some one. Claiming that an American icon like Rachel Ray is terrorist sympathizer because she's wearing a scarf around her neck is .... well, not intelligent, not strong, shows a lack of real spirit and her assertiveness is in nonsense and not reality.

Such a conclusion is totally nuts. Insanity with a voice and followers is threatening. Not being assertive or intelligent unless of course you're Hillary and then it makes you a bitch.

Looking at the extreme left or right always brings out polarizing posistions in people.
Myself leaning right have found that many conservative sites leave me wishing my peers would shut up.
I went looking for a liberal site for different perspective.
Anyone who is alway right or left is someone who can generate arguements all day long. But this is someone with no answers at all.
These tv icons are there for the bucks, none of them are sincere.

This article sickens me. I cannot believe that Dunkin Donuts caved in to the rantings of that shrill b**ch. The actions of Dunkin Donuts exemplifies all that is wrong with this country and once again shows the manipulation of the public by these weirdo right wing propagandists. :banghead:

Rachael Ray ad pulled as pundit sees terror link
Malkin claimed scarf similar to those worn by murderous Islamic extremists
MSNBC
updated 7:14 p.m. ET, Wed., May. 28, 2008

Dunkin' Donuts pulled a television spot featuring talk show host and Food Network personality Rachael Ray this weekend after a Fox news commentator associated it with terrorists.

In the ad, Ray is wearing a scarf that Michelle Malkin said in her nationally syndicated column resembled a kiffiyeh, Middle Eastern garb that is "popularized by Yasser Arafat and a regular adornment of Muslim terrorists appearing in beheading and hostage-taking videos."

Dunkin's Senior Vice President for Communications Margie Myers issued a statement saying the scarf "was selected by a stylist for the advertising shoot. Absolutely no symbolism was intended.

"However, as of this past weekend, we are no longer using the online ad because the possibility of misperception detracted from its original intention to promote our iced coffee."

In her column, Malkin also noted that it could appear at times that actor Colin Farrell, rapper Kanye West and Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean have been photographed in similar scarves that were "distinctive hate couture."
