Sometimes it's hard to believe that it was five years ago when America first invaded Iraq. Yet George Bush's reign is soon coming to an end for either McCain or Obama to take over responsibility of the war that has cost billions and too many lost lives.
This thrilling one minute clip sums it up perfectly.

When you use your intellect you never fight anything,
you always leverage reality & work with it, co-opting & allying yourself with it.
Where are the powerful minds that peer deep into the depths of chaos to ferret out & find structure where there appears to be none?
That can build a Universe out of what seems nothing?
A powerful imagination makes reality its willing, perhaps even happy eager cloak.

Well no doubt this video shows an elegant view of America's military might. But it raises some important questions about what we're actually doing -- fighting. Perhaps we need to investigate into finding more ways that America utilizes increased non-violent means of persuasion.
Who do you think will be more likely to somehow engage in even more additional conflict in addition to Iraq? Obama or McCain?

A lot of people [especially males] fight to feel the sensation of fighting.
It has virtually no basis in rationality.
It is based on an irrational, emotional addiction & base animal instincts.
The notion of 'proving' maleness &/or impressing &/or intimidating females & others.
The whole thing is neurotic,
but we are a very neurotic species,
i guess that is par for the course.
Humans are the 'neurotic ape'.
We thrive emotionally on some easily objectifiable 'enemy' when in fact our most formidable foes in reality are much more ephemeral in nature, very often ourselves both individually & collectively.
An addiction to sticky, candy mentality rather than reasoned, cogent, strategic thinking, planning & action.
Obama is a far more reasoned person than the crotchety, irrational McCain.

This is a good point. Humans are always dividing themselves into groups and sub-groups to compete against each other. From sports teams to interpersonal social groups, there is always a sort of division. When you compete against someone else, you view them in a whole different light. I think this stems from human nature.
But will Obama's inexperience cause a problem for his foreign policy in the white house?

Doesn't Obama have more foreign policy experience during his campaign as Reagan, Clinton and George W?
In the last 50 years there's only been 2 starting Presidents that have had any foreign policy experience and they were Nixon and Bush H. It's difficult to say that these guys were above average at their jobs much less good.

Well, since Bush and McCain are both republicans and we're in this war on Bushs watch, I'd have to say McCain. Anyway, peace may not come for a long time yet as the powers that be want war. More money is made during times of war. The huge corporations that control this country want more, more and more money. Some of those corporations are playing both ends against the middle because they are not only selling weapons to one side but to the other as well to ensure they make even more profits and resulting the war lasts even longer. They don't want the war to end and are willing to sacrifice our young peoples lives for it. Lives they obviously don't give one crapola about. Since, of course, their offsprings have been kept out of it.
Simply put, war is money and will continue indefinetly for as long as they can prolong it before the people get real pissed about it and start raising more stink.
As for Obama or Clinton depending on whichever becomes president, only time will tell. It's a wait and see issue. The cards are still out and aren't all on the table.
