While working in front of the computer all day. I took up jogging to keep me fit and trim. Most recently I figured I needed a good daily vitamin.
Does anyone take daily their daily supplements of vitamins?
I just started taking Flax Seed Oil, Bee Pollen and Super Aytinal with 33 vitamins and minerals plus Lutein

I take Mega vitamins. LOL.
Of course my doctor, a Doctor of Oriental Medicine is the one who gives them to me and keeps a close eye on how well they are working. I had to have blood tests to determine what I was lacking.
Nothing sold on the market, or via MLM is really strong enough if you are looking for good vitamins. One is pretty much as good as another.

.
I take a regimen of plant extracts, fish oil, vitamin d, and the like.
Green tea, grape seed, and red wine extracts - turmeric and cinnamin - aspirin - fish oils - folic acid.

Why not just eat an apple a day - problem (if there really is one) solved!
Because an apple only contains a small amount of the phytochemicals and antioxidants that your body can use to scavenge free radicals.

I take a liquid Multi Vitamin everyday.
It has most of the super fruits in it.
It covers all the goodies and is an all natural supplement.
I have a good excersise regiment, and go to the gym everyday.
I love to hike, and so I keep myself on a pretty strict plan. I feel great and I don't feel a day over 40.
We must take care of ourselves because we only have one chance to do it.

All this vitamin, trace element, antidioxant ........ and all the rest of it is a load of balderdash in my opinion. Maybe I should know - I'm 70 and have no problems with anything as most of my age group who have been sensible about keeping active and eating simple meals.

Genes, lifestyle, stress and what you eat all play a part.
Apparently you have found the balance in your life. Congratulations.

Even if some of the result is an emotional placebo effect, placebo effect is powerful and I'll take it.
It's not terribly expensive, and I enjoy taking the extracts.
And there is at least some evidence that it helps the body.

Maybe the apple I eat every day is causing a placebo effect too. But I've probably eaten about 25000 apples until now, so the placebo effect has done a good job!
But we must be careful; we are subjected to mass advertising in a myriad of forms.
Swallowing pills is a pastime envisaged by the pharmaceutical industry to enable its own interests to override common sense.
All you have to do is to think 'what is normal?' - drinking a glassful of orange juice a day isn't normal; all you would normally do would be to eat one complete orange and and not just drink solely the juice of one orange. Anything above normal the body just gets rid of (if you are lucky and don't get constipated by factory processed 'foods').

I don't think I've ever seen mass advertising for vitamins except for Centrum Jr and Centrum Senior. Apparently target markets.
What I do see is a ton of advertising for Viagra and allergy medicines.
And if they would stop poisoning our environment there would be fewer allergies.
I mainly eat fresh vegetables, fruit, beans and brown rice. Usually eat fish a couple of times a week and some poultry once a week. I get moderate exercise daily and drink only water. No caffeine, no white flour, no processed anything if I can help it. And I was taking what I thought were very good vitamins.
So I was very surprised that I ended up with Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome and then High Blood pressure. Only thing we can come up with is that the stress in my life was the main culprit.
But my blood pressure has dropped from 167/112 to an avg of 130/80 in the last 9 weeks just from the EDTA IV therapy and extra vitamins.
The body can heal itself, but you got to give it what it needs to do so.
