A thought just occurred to me

Have you noticed that the Cable News shows go on and on about the New York Times

Any Night All Night you can tune in to Fox news anytime and hear them Bashing the NYT

CNN is Kinder but they do talk about the NYT a lot

I read the Times now and then
I have never seen an article about anybody at Fox News

Since they spend so much time talking about the Times
doesn't that put the Times In a completely different league

also the Cable news shows just report on what the government tells them
they basically repeat and twist what the government tells them

the only time you see any investigative reporting is in the New York Times

do you think Msnbc or Fox is gonna break a terrorist spy program story

Fox really isn't a news network and although they host the "No Spin Zone" I think deep down even the most faithful know that it's a propaganda machine.

The New York Times releases a news story that could hurt the Republicans. What else can Fox possibly do besides bash them and try to discredit them? On MS NBC what can people like Tucker Carlson do?

The propaganda networks need to focus on stories that keeping the faithful angry, in fear and divided from the rest. Isn't that the corner stone of a Fascist Theocracy?

If youve never seen it - heres a link to a table showing the relationships between the news media and their family ties to the government:

The NYT has always been (way in the past) a very hard-hitting independent(kinda left-leaning but not too much lately) outlet - they are the ones that back in the days of Vietnam broke out the pentagon papers which in my estimation probably ended up saving a few hundred thousand mens lives in Vietnam - which is a good thing as I had already lost way too many of my high school buddies

The Wash Post at the time when it was run by Ms Graham was also very good at investigative reporting although now its become a microphone for the white house just as most news media has - its a shame we dont have true reporters out there anymore - the ones that didnt mind really digging for facts instead of rewording press releases.
