I'm not rich or wealthy but I work for myself. With the Bush tax cuts I pay a lot less in taxes then my friends.

Do any of you know how much the tax laws save you?

I do, but like everyone else they favor, I won't tell you. You have to be smart enough to think for yourself and figure it out.

Hell, by the time we got all the legal deductions we actually got an earned income credit.

How pathetic was that? I refused it and I'll still get something back.

(We use a company in Calif. owned by one family who are all CPA' s except for a brother who works for the IRS as an auditor. They KNOW all the legal deductions and limits.)

Well that depends Moby,

If you tell me your gross income, what type of corporation you have, (if any) and the type of business you are in. I can probably give you a pretty tight range of what percentage you paid in taxes.

It allowed us to take advantage of the housing market with a low rate while still receiving a profit on our existing home. Taxes this year were great. We never receive big refunds but in the Clinton years we paid every year, it was awful.
