I drive 70 miles a day. As someone who has a healthy gas bill, the higher prices go the happier I am. It's great to delude ourselves into beleiving the politcians will save us from foreign oil dependence, but for those who don't live in partisan delusion land and have to operate in reality, high gas prices is the only thing that will end our dependence on foreign oil.

Every president since Nixon has condemned our dependence on foreign oil and out inability to be energy self sufficient. Yet 4 decades later, same shit.
