Well, the conditions are right, they haven't confirmed one on the ground yet. Right now, the problem is about 17 miles from me and coming this way. We are under a tornado warning, lots of big thunder going on right now and it's black as pitch outside. Of course if in 45 minutes nothing happens, we are in the clear.

The streets are clearing, of course. Anyone with a radio on knows what's coming. I guess I'll move into the office more and away from all these windows in a little bit.

Fun! Just the thing to get the adrenaline up. LOL.

I'll check in later!

8:45, we are clear but my daughter and granddaughters are now in the danger area. Of course I already called and let them know, not knowing what kind of alarms they have out on that lake they live on. According to the radio, they've lost power out there.

OK, so I'm on pins and needles until I hear back from her that they are safe and nothing bad happened.

Here, we just have tons of rain coming down. Under a severe thunderstorm warning with winds up to 60 mph. I can live with that.

Hey, it's supposed to snow tonight too. LOL, where else can you live where it's 70 degrees in the morning and 29 degrees and you are under a freeze warning by 10 PM tonight?

Gotta love Texas.

Hey, 2 inches of snow expected by morning and 20 degree temps. Weird weather for sure. But the storms have passed, some downed trees at the Red River Army depot where it's official, a tornado touched down for about 15 seconds (that's only a few miles from here), minor damage in New Boston and Hooks, but it appears we missed the worse of things and it's all moved into Arkansas.

Fun morning. A tornado or high wind cell passed through outside of town. Snapped trees in half and blew over 5 semi's on I30 between Hooks and Texarkana, TX. Traffic is stopped or severly slowed down.

There is a tornado right now on the ground heading towards Genoa, AR. and will reach them in 5 minutes.

So, it's an exciting day in the neighborhood right now.

Crazy - exciting to read about.

Here in the mountains of Pa we almost never get real tornados - an occasional microburst.

Wind is one of my least favorite weather types - I live in an old house, in a wooded area - wind gets my adrenalin going.

I've lived in this city for 18 years and this is the first time we have ever had a tonado within 10 miles of us. And now we've had two in the past 10 days and a total of 3 in the last month. LOL, do you think it has something to do with those sun spots and the end of the world?

I have 11 big trees surrounding my property which is a corner lot. I totally get the not liking wind.

The highway was blocked all day, may still be blocked for all I know. There was fire and it was a mess. At first it was thought a microburst but not with the huge trees sheered off in half and a firm sighting further down. It may have only touched down briefly, but that's OK with me.

I lived in the San Fernando Valley when the big earthquake happened there in
1971,

which woke us up at a rude 6:00 in the morning and slung us all over the place.

I prefer tornados to earthquakes.

The crazy people live where there are hurricanes. My cousins are ALL crazy people.

LOL

In our paper this morning....

Hail damage: $150 million
Insurance premiums will rise

By: Kristi Jordan - Texarkana Gazette - Published: 04/12/2008

The tally is in and Texarkana took a $155 million beating in the April Fool’s Day hailstorm.

The amount was arrived at after totals of $95 million for Texas and $60 million for Arkansas were recorded by Insurance Service Office Property Claim Services.

“That’s a significant amount. A lot more than I would have estimated it to be even though I knew there was significant damage,” said Texarkana, Ark., Mayor Horace Shipp.

Texas-side Mayor James Bramlett said he was not surprised by the multi-million dollar figure.

According to the radio, it's dangerous at I30 and Stateline. Headed towards Hope, AR. Clinton territory.

Maybe judgement on Hillary? Ooooo, we could spin this the same way FOX does.

It's all over where I'm at other than a lot of rain and some loud thunder, nasty thunder. I'm back to work now. LOL.
