I have seen many videos of Pres. Bush at Partys before he got in to politics
he seemed like a guy that had a good time at partys, A VERY GOOD TIME
Always drunk, Always talking about who is drinking what
he didnt look like the kind of guy that would be against Abortion
in fact he looks like the kind of guy that paid for a few Abortions
also if you think about evertime he doesnt know a mic is on
he always gets caught cursing
that is not the way true born again Christians act

When he supposedly gave up drinking in 1985 he went into a bible study period for two years where he "found god" and started applying religious teachings to his political goals.
The only problem is that he didnt learn Christianity very well as he keeps screwing up with his good vs evil doctrine that is totally against what the Christian fundamentalists believe in and when he stated that "'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it." - he kinda lost most of the more moderate Christians and most Catholics.

I think like most "christians" he thinks he is a good one. Its easy for people to rationalize their own behavior. Plus there is the old saying "Do as I say, not as I do"
just my 2 cents worth :0

I don't know if he's sincere or not. The way he talks sometimes he sounds just as wack as the muslim fundies. A fundie is a fundie is a fundie.
On the other hand, it's hardly any better if he's faking it. A deceitful idiot is a deceitful idiot etc etc etc.

He is only Christan, because most voters are Christian. If the majority of Voting Americans had been Jedi Knights at the time of the last election, he would have found the 'Force'.
I think he's as sincere about religion as a modern politician can be. He beat booze with religion. I'm no expert in Bush history, but I think that was before he really had any political aspirations.
There are only 2 things that can motivate some one to do the things that he's done. Greed and religion. We know he and his family have a long history of greed.
I think that he believes in a god of some sort and that one day he will meet that god. I do NOT think he believes in Jesus Christ or the bible and just looking at his actions is proof of that.

I don't think this is an either/or question.
He comes from a family of sickness.
The Bush Dynasty will be in the history books as a period of shame for America. Those who don't see it yet are in serious denial.

Look at priests and the horrors they have done to kids.
You know the highest rate of abortions are from Catholics?
One thing never means the other.
