Bush has finally made certain of leaving his mark on history.

He's now officially the least liked president of all time.

At 19% job approval, he shatters all previous records. Sorry Nixon, sorry Truman, you just got booted out of the history books by Bush the Lesser.

Way to go Bush! Way to go republicans!

Overall, 19% of Americans say that they approve of the way George W. Bush is handling his job as president, 77% disapprove, and 4% are undecided.

That is just mind-blowing. How does it compare to other presidents? There's no comparison.

Nixon, as he was hounded out of office in August 1974, never dipped below the mid-20s.

Here's a pretty good compilation of poll numbers from Roper. To summarize the highlights:

Clinton low: 36 percent, May 1993 (early missteps like Zoe Baird)

George H.W. Bush low: 29 percent, August 1992 (recession)

Reagan low: 35 percent, January 1983 (recession)

Carter low: 28 percent, July 1979 (high gas prices)

Ford low: 37 percent, January 1975 (economy, Nixon pardon)

Nixon low: 23 percent, January 1974 (Watergate)

Johnson low: 35 percent, August 1968 (Vietnam)

Lowest ever? That would be Harry Truman during the Korean War, in February 1952, at 22 percent.

Breath taking,

get ready to see the NSA/CIA nuke an American city just to subjugate a deceived public under the boot-heel of tyranny.

Still not as bad as the Democratic congress at 13%

Still no terrorist attacks since 9/11 ,that's more than the next president will hope to accomplish

That's because the next president won't be best friends with the terrorists families...

Frank, I know that I've asked this before but do you believe that we should give in to terrorist demands in order to protect our nation?

Isn't that basically what Bush has done?

Bush also broke his dad's record by ignoring the mortgage crisis, the losses are more than double the S&L Bank losses and growing. Lot of people made money shorting stocks and bonds. The blame also goes to Clinton, the legislature and the federal reserve for glad handing wallstreets desire to write low grade paper for $$$$

We have to blame Clinton for everything.

What's the problem? Clinton ignored the mortgage crisis too. Politicians in D.C. have their tails wagged by executives and wallstreet, so yes there is plenty of blame to go around. Clinton went out with higher numbers and he left behind many many problems too. The one sided arguement never works.

Guys like you want to only blame the current administration or is this a Party thing ? Reps. vs Dems vs Ind, etc...... nonsense.

What has the legislature done to correct their approval ratings?

When is the country going to focus on the legislature, where real problems persit
beyond presidential terms?

Plenty of blame to go around. Its obvious Bush does not care about ratings.

Where is the proof that there have been attempts to attack the US....other than the word of an administration that lied us into this war?

Where is your proof there were no attempts to attack the US?
All talk and no proof is nonsense.

The burden of proof is not on me, but on Frankg. He implied that our Gov had stopped terrorist attacks. I'm asking to see the proof.

Ahh well that is different, use "quotes" to specify who you want.
They do need to release data that's for sure. A couple of years go by
and we find terrorists were targeting LA. In my opinion terrorists are just
fishing and testing vunderabilities. Another attack would send Bush into kill'em mode. They have to regroup and build their manpower first.
