Seems Blair saw the opportunity to get up with his butt buddy Bush while the Mrs B is up in Alaska avoiding Georgie(shes had it with him and his affair with Condi and refuses to sleep with him now)

I guess the boys will be having a high ole time at the White House this afternoon sucking each other in the Oval office

I don't think that Dubya is attratced to Blair any more. Blair is still an ally but the relationship has cost him too much power.

I do have the Flistone's theme song running through my mind right now :)

Meet the Bushstone's

Tony Blair has lost a lot of support in the UK.

Mainly because of his support of Bush. Although there are signs that the UK Government has developed a mind of its own, with recent stories about them being "upset" that Bush is landing 747 cargo aircraft at Scottish airports containing huge bombs on their way to Israel.

Urb - I just read about that - Prestwick Airport - the same one the CIA was flying the kidnapped "POWs" through that upset a lot of Blairs party

I saw that the US forgot to inform anyone and do the paperwork for haz. materials - "Blair's spokesman in Washington told reporters, "President Bush did apologize for the fact that proper procedures were not followed . . . It was a gracious thing to do."

I also saw that the Scottish National Party members are calling on the Scottish government to ban the flights - which might bring up some rather delicate issues since now Blair has gone against his own party - even overruling Margaret Beckett which was pretty brazen

I think the reality of the situation is that the USA says "jump" and the UK says "how high?".

I believe that Blair's Labour Party has a few large donation streams from the United States.
