View Full Version : South Bay Teacher Shows Abortion Video To Eighth-Graders
At least he didn't tech them about birth control.

MILPITAS, Calif. -- A Milpitas science teacher is on leave after showing parts of a graphic anti-abortion film to his eighth grade class.
Last month, first-year teacher Randy Yang showed students at Russell Middle School clips from a movie called "The Silent Scream," which depicts an 11-week-old fetus being dismembered during an abortion.
Yang showed the clips on Jan. 23 after students finished a chemistry test.
A student who saw the clips told the Mercury News that, "Everybody was kind of disgusted." Yang told students who did not want to see the film to avert their eyes, the newspaper reported.
The school district sent a letter home to students two weeks after the screening that said the film was inappropriate and was shown without permission.
The Silent Scream Web site contains several warnings about its contents and explains the site is not intended for children.
The school district is investigating and leaders said the video was not part of the science curriculum.

Why don't they make a film, what it's really like to be 16 and raising a child? Go ahead, make that poop and spit up graphic.
Show that house in the ghetto, the mom aging 20 years ahead of time. Can't get a good paying job, little Johnny stealing and getting involved with gangs. How little Johnny ends up in jail but is redeemed by joining the Marines and eventually killed by "the enemy" but not until he's had his way with innocent 12 year old girls and kills their family in cold blood in the name of Democracy... Etc. etc.
That should scare the hell out of the California school system.

A video showing how great it would be if we aborted all children who would be welfare recipients would be even better.

You know what's even scarier? Read the comments after the article. Of the first 5, four of them are like..."What's the big deal?"
Dude, if it were my 8th grader and they didn't fire the teacher - I'd be suing.
Religious agendas have no place in school.

Abortion is a religious practice?
Anyway you send your kids to the government to be educated, you get what you deserve.

Religion????? I wondered the same thing. Its about the choice between
personal responsibility and choosing one thing over the other. Religion has
nothing to do with it but religion latched on to it because it cuts down on
future church members and strength for the church if they dont try to make
sure every embryo is saved to join the "family".
Religion has nothing to do with it, just a lot of people use it.
I would never have had an abortion (now not an option) but that feeling had
nothing to do with religion....absolutely nothing. Actually not even on the list.

What was the point of showing the video, if not to illustrate the teacher's personal point of view. The school apparently didn't include it as part of their curriculum.
Did the teacher show the kids a video of a live birth experience? Nope. Did the teacher show them a video of two people having sex, so the students could see how what bits go where? Nope. Did the teacher show them a video of how to put on a condom or insert a diaphragm? Nope.
But you can bet that if any of those things had happened, all hell would break loose.
You can tell students that abortion is used to terminate a pregnancy. You can tell them that contraception can be used to prevent a pregnancy. Ditto for abstinence. Them's just the facts, m'am. No personal point of view.
That video was made by anti-abortion activists. It is no more appropriate to show this video than to show a video of a child being molested to get your point across that child molestation is wrong.
And you want to take bets that the teacher is not religious? $100 says the teacher is.

I really don't know. Definitely possible. I am a huge fan of abortion so the more that is known about it the better IMO. Hopefully some kids will remember and get one when they get knocked up and are going to count on my tax dollars to feed their crotch fruit.

Also true, I know many people who are not religious who are anti-abortion. I didn't read the whole article but I didn't get that she was religious from it. I suppose LRD is right and she could be, not sure how he can say for sure though.

I constantly find it amazing how people call themselves pro life when really all they are is pro life before birth. After the child is born they dont care if it lives or dies as long as it doesnt cost them anything.
Why is it that the majority of supposed pro lifers are also pro death penalty? Hypocracy knows no bounds.

Give it to them free, don't pay them benefits beyond the number of children they had when they signed up and they'll start liking it well enough. Force sterilization after two children for both the man and the woman and they'll like it even moreso.

Now if they would show American ADULTS exactly the horror they have unleashed in Iraq.
But wait that wouldn't fit with political spin and the right wings twisted agenda.
Nothing but liars who think they are self-righteous,
but in fact they are nothing but evil.

Freedom of the press? That would be un-American.
